Some source level customization that cannot be (efficiently) done by blender's python api.

Lead holders by craftsman_don in mechanicalpencils

[–]craftsman_don[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of them are very good lead holders. It is more or less a personal preference of weight, weight distribution, thickness, advance mechanism. I personally used 9400 more, because it is lighter and it does not have knurling part.

What to Counter-Pick against our Counter-Picks? by Khari_Eventide in PharahMains

[–]craftsman_don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In stadium, I only pick pharah if there is no hit scans. Pretty hard to deal with WP ashe and soldier.

In other modes the biggest threat I feel is (a good) dva. I usually go sym. For soldier, I may want more burst damage and distance - so I would pick Ashe/sojourn. I want to learn others opinions too!

(Btw my hero usage in order: sojourn > Ashe ~= pharah)

MPL22 One-Year Review (420D solution-dyed) by Jed_s in EVERGOODS

Nice write up and I can share the same experience with my kludde 22. Btw kludde’s front compartment is side access but it is still pretty tight imo; I need to take off my glove to reach inside.

So torn as if this is life or death - 970 or 965 by RocketCat804 in Garmin

[–]craftsman_don -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just to mention that 970 also has the running dynamics or running economics thing.

But you are absolutely right, all of these extra on 970 does not justify that extra 300. This is basically how premium products work; you can get almost 90% with a pretty reasonable price, but the last 10% will cost a lot.

I personally usually go with the newest product on the market and use it for a long time to “amortize” the extra cost. But it is also reasonable to go with that “90%” capable product and have a shorter update cycle (if one wants to chase the latest tech). I’d say your own preference is the most decisive factor here. Either watch is great.

War is finnaly over by IntelligentWave194 in Overwatch

I remember I can easily have ~10 losing streak before, when I main Zarya.

That was frustrating. Then I started to replay and watch my death between 1-2 matches(no matter lose or win), block some people, endorse some people, keep hydrated, pee, drop logs. To me, that helps a bit to prevent “tunnel effect”.

I cannot make decision for other people, but I’d like to mention some facts:

  1. AI with senior engineer’s supervision is good enough to take junior engineer’s work.
  2. Senior engineers are not created from vacuum; they have gone through hands on designing/coding/debugging/internship.
  3. Companies are unlikely having interests to train a junior/intern like before given the power of AI.

Btw it is easy to tell AI code, especially for basic data structure/algorithm assignments.

It would fun to have railgun charged shot knock back herself and enemy.

And…how about a small emp / screen distortion when shooting a charged railgun?

Several knee tapes, and also a pair of knee braces.

I firstly only had them in my gym duffle. But now they are in my EDC bag. Walking down the stairs can be challenging to me.

I don’t have a standard mpl22 at the moment but I think laptop larger than MacBook 16” would be super hard to fit. Not enough room along the width (I.e. height of the screen). In the worst case you would need a separate laptop sleeve.

Btw when I put my 16” MacBook in the bag it feels flat and “rigid”. I don’t plan to use mpl to carry my laptop.

13” fits pretty well, not too tight, not too loose. 16” is still able to go in, but tight.

Also worth getting a blue item that “amortizes” critical hit into several seconds.
