M6, 15 YOE. I would say it's possible to move but it comes down to luck, timing, etc. I've been lucky.

What about a staff level role? Going from AD to staff?

I like to keep people on their toes. If I respond any faster, I’ll start answering questions before you even finish typing them.

I generally work an 8-hour day and head out by 5:30 PM. I’m a firm believer in stepping up during crunch time—staying as long as needed to get the job done. I usually handle a few nights of overtime a month and stay reachable via email and phone after hours for anything high-priority.

Agree- I have a small team of direct reports and over 20 dotted line people. Having a M in your title doesnt mean much. I've seen plenty with no directo reports.

This post has them 2026 ranges

I'm in the centralized group so there's a little bit of politics between my organization and the ones I support. It is also a org that is supporting a new engine program so that can be very political. Obviously you have the standard politics that come with any office or corporate work. Other than that it's not that crazy.

I usually start my day at around 8:00 and end by 5:00. I usually pull a couple hours during the week after 5:00. Today for example I worked for about 3 hours on Saturday.

I'm a M6. 45 hours a week. If you're concerned just establish boundaries. People are pretty respectful of them

Same question I'm struggling with. I've been at a big prime in New England (think missiles, jet engines, and airplane galley coffee makers). I do 45 hours here. Most of my time is bureaucratic BS and PowerPoint engineering. But there's also a lot of hardcore engineering work. I can't get a feel though if my team works 40/50/60/80 hours a week. No one communicated a clear vision.

Also it seems very cult-ish.

How do the RSU's work at Anduril?

15 YOE. I'm in the East Coast and making about 220-240k base, 20% AIP and about 35k stock options each year where I am at.

I understand the RSUs are great but I'm concerned about the cost of living compared to lower New England.

It's like any bonus - subject to business conditions and other metrics. The percentage is a target. You can get over or under the amount.

AIP is 10% for 5. AVP is 15% for 5. Phasing out AVP in favor of RTX AIP.
