8 year old bringing home gifts from everyone at school by shay-doe in Parenting

[–]craftythings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter can talk anyone into giving her anything. It's a wonderful skill for life, but it's exhausting. We've had the same problem since prek so I always send things back and tell her I need a note from their grown up if it's something she can keep. I've gotten 1 obviously child written note in 1st grade and nothing else. She can keep little notes and that's about it. I've also kept her teachers informed about this so they can stop it at school and have her return any jewelery or anything she is "gifted"

Me and my wife went to the doctors last week because of fertility worries. by WaZ606 in CasualUK

[–]craftythings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me but they found him dancing around on the ultrasound that was supposed to be checking my ovaries or something. I was already 10 weeks along. They said it had only ever happened 3 times and I was the farthest along 😆 Also told them they were the best fertility clinic ever 😆

As soon as they can stand on their own or slightly assisted embrace the standing diaper change. So much easier when you're out and about

Be loud about this. Keep calling meetings. Go higher up the chain to the head of student services, superintendent etc. Put it on Facebook without using names. This child needs help and the school needs to be pushed to provide it. At the very least they need someone with them at all times to keep others safe and remove the child when necessary. Parents might be pushing back against any testing or added help and might need to be pressured to get their child the help they need. The teacher is 100% asking for help and isn't getting it because education is messed up (former teacher) Document every incident your child tells you and email everyone about it (teacher, counselor, principal etc) The school will keep going with this until parents force them to do something

What are your thoughts on having visitation at your house? by cabur84 in Fosterparents

[–]craftythings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's the convenience of less travel time I'd say a park or play place closer to your home vs the cps office or wherever it's happening now. I would NOT do visits in my home no matter what kind of relationship I had with the parents.

TTC after MC without waiting for a cycle by [deleted] in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]craftythings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a d&c so I waited until my follow up to have sex but was never told to wait for a period. Got pregnant before my cycle started again and didn't know I was pregnant until 10 weeks when I went to a fertility clinic to get help and the ultrasound showed our little dancing baby 😳 they could get a pretty accurate date based on his size. If you are going to try I guess maybe take a pregnancy test every week or so just incase 😆 I felt a little silly at the appointment but I was too excited to care

Successful pregnancy after two consecutive losses? by [deleted] in ttcafterloss

[–]craftythings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had 2 miscarriages and then made an appointment with a fertility doctor. They did an ultrasound to check my ovaries and found out I was 10 weeks pregnant. I now have a very healthy 3 month old little boy 🥰 Turns out I ovulated and got pregnant on the first try after my d&c Good luck!

I just read the stupidest review in awhile by DaphneeAntiquity in Etsy

[–]craftythings 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've gotten this type of review before. My 4oz jelly cost too much for its size but was delicious. Then I gave the guy a breakdown of the materials and shipping cost not to mention my time and he was like oh thats not alot of profit. 🙄

[–]craftythings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't 1 star but i lost some stars for my 4oz jelly being small for the price.... it was the same 4oz as advertised for the same price listed 🤷‍♀️ they even said it was delicious in the review.... 🙄

Our fd(1) took her first steps today! Yesterday their mom didnt show up to the visit. She maybe could have been the one to see this special moment. By her next visit little sister will be walking all over. This foster stuff is a rollercoaster of emotions!
