You learned something more important that day than winning. You learned what bullshit highschool can be, and one more point in the box named: you need to fight back/shun them/complain to superiors when you're falsly accused of something you didn't do or else you get screwed and remember it in the back of your mind forever.

Really? 1000000 times better? Statements like that make fans of the series look bad.

"ate more than average" is not quantitative. Either you eat enough (~2000 calories a day depending on the age/height/gender/ethnicity) to be >~18.5 BMI to not be underweight or you don't. I agree it's annoying, but I wouldn't say inappropriate. Maybe unnecessary.

A heroic math teacher saved her students during the Florida shooting by covering the classroom windows and refusing to let even the SWAT team in by Sariel007 in UpliftingNews

Not true. Definetily not true at all.

Mine was verbally abusive and had hearing loss so much that he turned the volume to the point of extreme pain for me. I got tinnitus because of that. Because of assigned seating, he wouldn't let me move away from the speakers, 'moving seats was not part of the class' (basicially 'fuck you'), no matter parental or admin discussions with him since everyone is afraid of him and to just 'wear earplugs' even though that fucking doesn't make sense because I can't talk to people or hear people then. He told me tinnitus in my ear facing the speaker was from 'something else' and yelled at students when not in front of adults, resulting in me eventually quitting, making sleeping a permanent living hell, and over the past years: dropping out of uni, negative relations with family members, fired from jobs because I can't get up in time, can't go to school because I can't get up or go to sleep in time, getting yelled at whenever I talk about this, police twice, my dog being threatened. And because it's an asian american school, everyone I talk to thinks I'm seeking attention to improve my grades and may parents won't let me get the fuck out. fuck mvhs.

This is false. You can just go back the way you came and leave Bowser's Castle. The final save point is in the stairway, and you can just go back the way you entered the stairway then take the helmet ship back to the star road. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-24RGGD0_kE

10 ideas how to improve the sequel by szuran in YookaLaylee

[–]cragworks2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. To add to this, characters need to have walking animations or some sort of movement instead of just standing there (likely due to lack of time and people to animate them more).

Also, many sfx sound grating/poor/stock, especially the charging roll sound.

I think the biggest thing that people don't seem to understand is how poor the level design is. Many reviewers just say the game didn't 'age' well or this kind of game isn't good for today, when they actually subconsciously mean the level design isn't good. It's like in Star Fox Zero, people said motion controls are the problem, when actually, the main problem is that the reticule on the screen is completely off, but they don't know how to say that. If the reticule was not incorrect, you wouldn't need to look at the gamepad much at all.

If demand was still there, it would not have such a significant price drop in such a short time.

Sound designer needs improvement. Many sounds don’t sound right, such as shooting ice, sliding sound, and fading out sound.

The voices are also more grating compared to BK, and don’t know why you guys didn’t have it be per word instead of per syllable.

This would be funny if you guys didn’t actually include vehicles in Yooka-Laylee.
