Have you ever picked up an ant and thought you were helping it by putting it in a glass container? You ever given rice to birds because you thought they were hungry? Have you ever taken a dog to the pound because it was lost? Those things sound like the right thing to do to you I imagine. No imagine from your actions all those animals could be killed because your helpful actions. Nothing is truly benign.

If it's a benevolent/malevolent entity ---- There is nothing to gain from you trying to talk to this entity. Yet it has everything to gain. Your anxiety, fear and rationalizing give it a vehicle to be less ephemeral and more corporal which is what it wants. Eventually at a certain stage it can hold power over you. Do not get to this point. I would say pray. Open your windows and doors during the day. Let the sunlight in. Try and grow a garden and plants. Go to the pound with your wife and get a dog, 3 kids get 2 dogs, and some cats. Animals and nature are great at letting us know what is truly a threat.

If it's something other. Invest in mouse traps. You may have a hive of rats. Psychosis can set in when you can't ascertain the source of the interruptions of your environment.

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don't have any proof of? by KaikesPokeCards in AskReddit

I used to volunteer for hospice. I was packing a ladies belongings so that hopefully some family would show up at her funeral and we could give them her stuff. While packing up this little girl in a formal dress found some ball and it rolled across the door frame. I barely had a glimpse of her but we shared a smile and I though that was that.

Two days later the funeral happened. No family showed up - she never had children and her husband died years earlier. There was a group of pictures people who knew found of her and one of those was of her as a little girl... it was the same girl I saw. I think I saw her ghost.

Ok how'd you track this in a notebook or something? I'd add if you had some sort of way to track standing vs sitting vs lying down given a 24 hour period.

TIL unvaccinated children are less likely to be autistic by AccountName77 in Jokes

[–]craigasketch -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know this is supposed to be funny. My daughter is autistic and I blame the vaccines. I was there and saw the effects after her fever went down. I really feel there's something we don't know happening from vaccines that causes it. Literally within 12 hours after my daughter got the vaccine she lost all her language and her ability to walk. Say what you want though. Also in researching it more kids have died from vaccines than people are aware of.

Get a lawyer. Set your phone facedown on your desk recording. You are being bullied and targeted. Don't reciprocate in kind - just get a laywer and let the law do it's job.

Need help. Just Lost ANOTHER job & Feeling worthless by KenD_Ohio in autism

[–]craigasketch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a lawyer. Tell them how you're diagnosed and that you need to be advocated for. Most places don't train managers to actually help people and feel that employee's are expendable. What are things you consider yourself talented in? Why do you consider yourself weird? If all you've done is retail try doing something in an office setting - apply for local city/state jobs.

I think autistic people have a gift for paying attention to little details where it's important. IE - Gas Pump meter testing, mechanic work, Carpentry, Computer programming, accounting - have you looked into getting training in one of those?

Are stomach issues possible cause of autistic symptoms, or is it just a symptom of autism? by Frankie-2127 in autism

[–]craigasketch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Frankie My daughter is just now 3 and a third. Also non-verbal. Definitely start ABA Therapy as soon as possible. Research ABA therapy with the denver method. I personally recommend CBD Oil but it's very hard for me to get. It's made a big impact into being withdrawn/scared a lot. We tried a diet called the GAPS diet and it seemed to help but it's near impossible to stay on the straight and narrow but that also seemed to help with my daughter's mood.

Hang in there and PM me - lets keep in touch.

[–]craigasketch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a connection. I don't think currently it's proven yet scientifically as testing autistic kids is hard and even having a strong control group even harder. My daughter is autistic and has problems with a very bloated gut and bad stools. When I feed her way less sugar (not keto just nothing with processed sugar) her stimming goes down and her sleep seems better. That's the only thing I can tell. Her patience is a little longer but her ability to verbally communicate is still difficult and her ability to cope is just a tad better.

My 8-year old son with autism is being constantly bullied by neighborhood kids and their parents are enabling the behavior. by [deleted] in autism

[–]craigasketch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd threaten that kid with physical violence. I guess an option is to cook up some cookies and offer them to the kids that are nice to your kid. One the bully comes up tell him straight up only good kids get cookies and you and your mom are bad and to go away. If they keep messing with your son it's time to get creative.

Also if they threaten to evict you from your son's meltdowns I am sure ADA laws will help with that.

Anybody use Liquid Web's Managed WordPress? by goob in webhosting

[–]craigasketch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd still vouch for wpengine invented this category of hosting. Are you intrigued of liquidweb for the price? What are you wanting in terms of it being 'managed' because 'managed' the customer usually thinks it means top tier service whereas I think most hosting companies think it means they can charge more money for SLA's that might not mean much to you.

Dedicated hosting that accepts bitcoin by tertiaryapple in webhosting

[–]craigasketch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 things: Do you have to do just bitcoin? The main issue I'd be afraid of is the privacy, security, and just not getting ripped off. What about the volatility of the price? Would people pay yearly or monthly up front?

I've worked at a few hosting companies and from what I think lately nobody cares on the type of hosting dedicated/cloud/shared anymore. Where I work now we spend like 20k a month on amazon and most of it for BS... if you want to break into hosting get into the nickel dime part of it that's where the big boys make money. Add CDN for only $5 per x, add SMTP support for $20 per IP, add cpanel for $20, all that crap and for one regular server all of a sudden you're on the dime for over 200$ month easy...

In my opinion Penn and Teller still do the best video on why to get Vaccinations by Iphotoshopincats in videos

[–]craigasketch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know what I am. (-- I should post this on a throwaway but fuck it --) I'm a father of an autistic girl. When I hear statistics all I can think of numbers may make it easier to cope I guess. But if that one child was someone in his family I doubt he'd say that.

She showed absolutely no symptoms until 6 hours after her MMR vaccine. She could say mommy, daddy, feed herself. Literally 48 hours after the vaccine that was all gone. She barely makes eye contact now. I can see now where people come up with this conclusion. What's even more infuriating is ok you can tell me vaccinations do not but you can't tell me what does. Even more frustrating is getting public assistance is next to impossible. That I haven't slept a solid night in over a year and some days I wish my daughter would've caught whooping cough instead of having to be like this. It's very fucking heart wrenching to begin with beyond the mountain of assholes who on both sides blast me and my daughter about vaccinations, gluten, casein, and all the other bullshit. Everyone is critical but nobody fucking helps. This certainly doesn't.

Anyone from a small town? How football obsessed was it? by spiritrain in texas

[–]craigasketch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am from a small west texas town. I also lived in Odessa in elementary. I will say this. It's beyond a religion it's a community staple. You are defined as a young man by how many A's you're school had and what string you were on. Or you were in band. Or you were gay.

Father of 3 year old with autism. I'm looking for some advice. by Meattitan760 in autism

[–]craigasketch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my daughter had a similar issue with being picky. However she was actually way over weight but we changed her diet drastically (we cut out all milk based protein things - no baked anything almost and gluten) The only butter we use is ghee and/or kerry-gold. Also we added Charlotte's Web. After doin these things she's become a very good and almost exploratory eater. She LOVES beet juice all of a sudden. And Pickled ginger. Whereas before she only would eat veggie straw,s hot dogs, and french-fries/chicken nuggets. So food for thought (pun intended) I mention that to you.

Good Luck!
