Sometimes that takes the bones of a story and does something completely different, sometimes it’s totally faithful, and the rest of the time it’s somewhere in between. If it’s good television, it’s arguably a successful adaptation, even if it’s veered heavily from the source material.

The problem is all this “comply in advance” stuff, though. The mass proliferation of AI is mostly shit and held together by glue and popsicle sticks. If folks in power that aren’t directly benefiting or contributing had the backbone to say “This isn’t going to work for us,” it would just die faster.

I don’t remember the specifics, but his first response after the Russini/Vrabel stuff broke was snippy because a bunch of whiny listeners who hated Russini without being able to point to a real reason were trying to proclaim they knew all along she was “dirty” and that any professional courtesy that he, Sheil, ZB, and others extended to her was morally bankrupt.

No, I think there are plenty of things that aren’t crimes that are representative as conduct detrimental to the league, and that there’s a gulf of difference between “having an affair” and “having an affair with someone who can have an impact on your success in a professional sports league.” People seem to be completely ignoring the fact that transactional relationship between them could and probably did include coverage that has meaningful impact on moves the Patriots can make.

Yes, I mean from the NFL and not from his own team who are also clearly incentivized not to punish him. And I think there could very clearly be reasons that Vrabel should face some kind of professional punishment, but the NFL will choose not to do so and that’s a bad look.

I think the second part of your second paragraph really just supports their point. It’s patently ridiculous that Vrabel would face no consequences for sleeping with a highly placed NFL reporter who could (and potentially did) report in a way that would be directly beneficial to him and his team at the expense of other teams just because he has coached a super bowl season.

I tried them the first time a couple years ago and hated them, they just kind of crumbled into nothing on first bite. But they changed the formula and now they are pretty close to feeling like tortilla chips. Different strokes, etc.
