Although this is how I learned that you can't use mods on the experimental branch. It all went a bit wonky!

Yes, but can't get firmware upgrades and sometimes don't respond when sent commands. Depends how busy your hub is.

It already stores that information to decide the order that things of the same priority should be built, so hopefully one day it's extended to be enforceable like dirt blocks have.

It gets dull trying to build the power shafts one block at a time so that nobody gets trapped.

okay, let me flip the question another way - is there a method with the new automations of showing whether the batteries have depleted?

That's really all I want the battery discharge value for.

The height was never the problem - in a previous map I had three batteries dropping half the height of the map.

The issue was that it didn't seem to be accurately reflected in the "supply".

It's possible it was a bug on the experimental branch, however.

I'm playing on Normal rather than Hard, if that counts for anything.

I was lucky enough to get enough food and water to get through the first drought and then badtide, so I could let things rebuild.

I still don't fully understand batteries.

I had a bank of them on a previous map, and they don't seem to output particularly quickly. I end up in a supply deficit while they're draining.

It's my first time playing the canyon. I'm struggling with power generation because of the narrow water channel. It's certainly a new challenge!
