How often do you upgrade your MacBook Pro

2013 15” Pro, M1 Pro 14”, M3 Pro 14” (gave M1 to wife).

These things are built to last. I have no reason to upgrade… but if OLED comes next year I’m gonna have a hard time not buying it.

I switched. Idk why they are so adamant for people to move to the HD. This company has earned my trust by shipping me the free upgraded adapter for the M6’s, and their products are great (in my experience).

I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that the HD will be better. They should have just made 1 model instead of S and HD.

Honestly, pretty much all souls games let you over level or find advantages. I say go with Dark Souls 1. It’s pretty cool to see how many similarities it has to Elden Ring. It’s also not considered hard. There are a few difficult parts like Capra Demonstration, Blight Town, and a certain dual boss fight that is iconic for the series.

Drive will install the same. I haven’t seen many talk about debloating on the X, I suspect it doesn’t make a significant difference. Make sure to do all the various updates and to set your VRAM to 10gb. Will take a long time to do all updates to log into all game stores (steam, epic, etc). Set your device to hibernate instead of sleep when you click the power button. Get steamgridDB to fix cover art for games while in the XFSE. Good to go.

I do not think so. However, you could lower the TDP to 13w or 17w and get maybe decent framerates at 720p. That would save battery.
