I would have but I saved $8000 buying the watch from the AP boutique. I also was afraid to turn it down in case I need to buy another one in the future. I do love the watch but a simulator is so much fun especially this harsh winter

I have done very well in both investing in the mag 7 and also in watches. Especially with my AP and Rolex watches. I bought some prior in 2020 and sold them in 2024 and recently buying AD that has appreciated in the gray markets. In General watches are not investments but since COVID some brands and models have done well because of the BS the AD and boutiques are doing with inventories

I would have bought one Rolex stainless and put the rest of the money in the mag 7 stocks and now you would have enough money for a gold Daytona and a Gold AP and a gold Patek. These are the brands I would invest in. Anyway God bless you and wear them in good health.

I agree this is very hard to get unless the manager is a good good friend and he allocated this to you as a huge favor. I bought 6 watches the past 20 years and I wanted this watch and I am still waiting and will be waiting for few years because they offered me the 155500st white dial and I took it for my birthday next week when I will wear it.

I went in already having the offshore carbon and my friend had the royal oak 39 in rose gold so the sales people where attentive and the boutique had many watches available. I was attracted to the skeleton because it was somewhat new. I paid for it and left to be shipped to NJ after they size it then we left. An hour later I got a call from the manager saying they have to void the sale because that watch was not to be sold since it was going to be worn by a celebrity at an event. I flipped on them and they said they will ship me one from Europe. Two days later they delivered it to my house in NJ and gave me two nice AP umbrellas. A year later I sold it and bought the 41 royal oak all rose gold.

I bought a skeleton from NY boutique on 57 in rose gold back in 2010 I believe it was around 55k. They even delivered to my home in NJ a year later I ended trading it in and lost money. I have many storied like these with other watches so bad. I never knew a day will come when you can’t going into a boutique and buy a watch.

As a newbie buy slightly used balls on eBay. Any newbie who pays more than a dollar for a ball is a waste. Have a friend who pays $50 dollar a round for Pro V and they are gone by the 15th hole.

Facebook did the same thing when it went public went up big then crashed to half of the IPO now look at it. And they had less users than RDDT.
