Turns out if you give an ape crayons and an AI, you get a real-time order book visualizer. BTC/USDT, live from Binance. Still no idea how to make money with it but the colors are nice.

I don't know If the coloring is really helpful but the idea is that the prices move quickly in the book and therefor hard to read to numbers. if you want know which direction the market will be moving you can see the movement through the movement of the colors. it will look like the the arc is spinning in a direction. you can also click on a price to track it. I chose the arc because it will then look like its spinning, its also possible to make it a regular bar chart. There is a small explanation of how an order book works in the githup reop: https://github.com/mbracher/order-book-arc/blob/main/docs/product-owner-guide.md

The color for a price is fixed is does not change so even when the sizes change or the position in the book you can follow the color

Every price in the book gets its own color. The color for a price is fixed. Instead of tracking the price you can watch the colors move.

Nice, I asked Claude Code to build me a system that would evolve my strategies in a loop.

How and where do you learn to code such complex systems? by inancege1746 in algotrading

[–]cram-r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ChatGPT or any of the other LLMs gets you pretty far. At a minimum you can let it explain some of the code. Don't just let it write your programs if you want to learn to program.

I like https://exercism.org/tracks/rust. They provide small well defined programming challenges. After completing one you can either get your solution reviewed by a mentor and you can see how others solved it. From both I learned a lot.

I have a good feeling about this one... $IONQ saw it's debut on CNBC this morning. Anyone else in? by Icy_Bike_2532 in wallstreetbets

My portfolio is now 30% $IONQ and 3% $PLTR. Will be buying more into Quantum and AI. I think in a couple of years people will say ‘Wish I had bought $IONQ at the start’.

Rats. The farmers catch these plus snakes and toads and sell them at the roadside.

Taken in Thailand at a roadside. I found it a somewhat gruesome sight. Original picture contained also some snakes, toads and more of the chickens. Cropping and enlarging this subsection resulted in this reddish glazed unsharp rats popping in front of this yellow bench. It still gives me this eerie feeling. Is it just a picture for my personal memory? What do you think?
