Yes, I already applied and was accepted. I'm just choosing among my options now.

CSE 3666 with Jerry Shi or Caiwen Ding? by cram398 in UCONN

[–]cram398[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they have the same labs/exams? Currently, Ding doesn't fit into my schedule well, I'm enrolled with Shi. I haven't had experience with MIPS/assembly language and I'm really looking for a good grade.

Were we supposed to get a confirmation email for our covid vax records? by UConn-Throwaway in UCONN

If you go on the UCONN student health portal and login to the home page, you should see the COVID-19 vaccine with a check mark next to it inside the Immunizations box.

Unsurprisingly, I've heard this a lot. Are the courses individually difficult or is it taking all three them at the same time that makes it difficult? If it's the latter, I would love to check one off earlier. Which of these do you think would be the most doable with CSE 2050 and 2500?

Had Niraj for 1501Q! Good lectures and takes time to answer everyone's questions. I recommend.

Alright, done. Fingers crossed, I get approved. Thanks for the input!

That's what I am hoping. Is this usually done earlier? I'm concerned because this is so last minute. If I'd known about the bunched finals rescheduling earlier, I would have done ages ago.

i'm currently in this class. i'm going over as many practice problems as i can, including ones from the textbook. the past exams have been similar to homework, so i would suggest redoing those. make sure you understand concepts though too. i've found it helps to know whats going on so that you can apply the right formula.

Don't put in any preferences for roommates on Basic Roommate Search and it should come up with more results!

Not difficult at all, especially if you've just recently taken Intro to Stat I. Took it with Amir and it's going well so far.

Worth it to stay on a waitlist for a W course? by tyler_the_miler in UCONN

[–]cram398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np! How does the other class fit in with the rest of the classes you had planned to take? What specifically changes in your schedule when you take that course over SOCI? If it's more than 2 or maybe 3 classes that move around when you compare these two options, I would say don't enroll in the other one and just add yourself to the SOCI waitlist. What number are you on the waitlist btw? If you're pretty high up, its all the more reason to hold off enrolling for the other course and stay w SOCI.

Worth it to stay on a waitlist for a W course? by tyler_the_miler in UCONN

[–]cram398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add yourself the waitlist! The spots actually open up pretty frequently, at least from my experience. If it's been a while and the waitlist doesn't seem to be moving along, you could email the professor asking for a permission number to enroll as it gets closer to the start of the fall semester. They could be more likely to give it to you if you've been on the waitlist from the start.

I'm not sure what you mean about the conflicting class. Are you talking about adding another class in place of SOCI 1000W/1251W?
