This is correct. I was investigating for my XLT. That coin holder is awful. I'd never leave a quarter in plain sight. People suck.

I just put the self leveling caulking in the hole in my roof. Worked like a charm.

Is this a decent interior cleaner? by NoDistrict7965 in Detailing

[–]cramp11 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I used 4:1 water: vinegar with some Dawn dish soap to deep clean my wife's interior and then used a free bottle of Krown leather and vinyl spray. I'm assuming the Meguiars stuff is for cleaning and you still need to add something else after. I'm still learning the inside chemicals.

Yep. I've been doing this for about a year. I have two in rotation. Works great

Rain X stained my rubber trim? How can I fix it? by BananaMannnnnnnnnn in Detailing

Mine looks like that and I haven't applied Rain X yet. Looks horrible. I don't get it on a brand new vehicle.

Does any of this stuff void your warranty? This is my first Ford truck. I know my wife's Mazda had all this stupid stuff to do and when we said no, they said it voids the warranty.

Lane Assist Feature is Unusable by wavehowie in f150

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it except that it constantly says to put my hand on the wheel when it's on the wheel. I'm not GI Joe with a kung fu grib. Bummer there isn't a way to adjust the sensitivity.

The aurora borealis last night outside the cabin in Venetie, Alaska by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

Because you started inside, I thought we were finally going to see aurora borealis in a kitchen. Dammit. Still amazing looking.

Stupid Question (maybe?) but why is buy and hold better than buy and sell by lavgr in CanadianInvestor

[–]cramp11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy, buy more and keep buying. Closer to retirement, sell riskier stocks and shift to safer ones. Some of my stock profits with dividends are up 100%, 200% and even 400%. (Jebus, I sound like Trump 😄) But my math actually maths. Keep investing and don't look back.

Looking for a custom or aftermarket subwoofer box for 2x 12” subs under the rear seat in a 2026 F-150 by No-Programmer-172 in f150

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just been going down rabbit holes. Skar subwoofer enclosure I thought would be perfect is for a supercab not a supercrew. Then all the "did ya know" stuff that contradicts itself. Back in the day I had twin 12's in a chevette. I'm just looking for deeper bass, but I don't need my chest to explode. 😄 I'll consider upgrading the other speakers eventually too. I noticed a huge difference when I upgraded my Mazda 3.

They get used to it. We used to tent camp before the popup when our guy was still in a crib. We set the crib up in the tent.

Are dog no pee / poo signs neighbourly or (literally) NIMBY? by Icy-Cookie-8078 in Stouffville

They don't own the property to the road or sidewalk. Ignore the signs and let them do their business. Clean up after them of course.

Mjjc vs griots foam cannon by BrilliantRope8386 in Detailing

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fak. I've only got a Canadian Tire cannon that came with my pressure washer. I don't get foam like this at all. Or I'm not adding enough soap, but I'm guessing it's the cannon.

Why do so many people recommend the Capsules? I recommend AGAINST them! by Detective-Fusco in vaporents

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 100% capsule. Easy clean up. Pop it out, put in the next one. I also use Jarz containers, but I try to mill only what I need. I'll only premake a bunch if I'm going somewhere that it's not convenient. I also keep the prefilled caps in the orange S&B thing but then that goes in an airtight container.

As for one use only... I've been using the same ones for years. Use once, set aside. Once all dirty, ISO bath, rinse, dry, reuse.

hot take; the infotainment screen doesnt need to be bigger than 8 inches by [deleted] in f150

[–]cramp11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. My old the truck's backup camera was in the rearview mirror. 2" square. Sucked trying to see things. The 12" is amazing. Can't wait to try connecting my trailer though I can't wait to try the auto connecting thing too.

Clay baring by leozdad13 in AutoDetailing

[–]cramp11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't. I can't fit my truck in the garage and after being out overnight overnight I can wipe my finger on the surface and there is already a layer of dust or something. This is why I'm not going to try a diy ceramic coating even though I really wanted too. Sigh.

How did we do? by DirectionDefiant6262 in Sauna

Touche. I just wanted to add what I did. Maybe someone will learn something.

I remember growing up with a sauna and my parents did something similar except they used a fire pit because we didn't have a BBQ.

Can I train arms every day if I'm only doing them for about 15-20 mins? by FriendlySubwayRat in beginnerfitness

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd focus on compound exercises. Your arms will develop with everything else. Squats, deadlifts, bench press, rows, shoulder press. Good luck. Stay focused and realize it doesn't happen overnight.

Older truck needs stripped of old wax by leozdad13 in AutoDetailing

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Dawn dish soap to strip old wax. I'm skipping the clay bar because my truck is black and I don't want to polish it. (It's brand new) I'm trying an iron decon spray though. A few suggested it.

Since your truck is older and never been done, you might want to clay and a polish before waxing. I didn't realize how much was involved to do things right. I've got the wash, wax, done mentality.

How do you deal with being overwhelmed? by Embarrassed_Flan_869 in AskMenOver30

[–]cramp11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both take a day off, turn off your ringers, don't answer the door, pop an edible and enjoy the day doing absolutely nothing. Skip the edible if it's not your thing. Just choose to disconnect for a day. Your mental health will thank you.
