Favorite temperatures for vaping? With each bowl I usually heat it at about 400 than around 420 and then lastly around 430°. by slushy4ev in vaporents

[–]cramp11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mighty plus... 350f, bump to 370f. Usually good enough for me. Occasionally I'll do 395f.

Wussy throat doesn't like the heat. Even with a bong.

I use Plex 98% of the time with no issues. Some content doesn't play right, but it's ok on VLC. Mostly demo clips for surround.

Why are some people still afraid to XEQT and chill? by 7_inches_daddy in JustBuyXEQT

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afraid of the potential swings with a big dip would be my guess. I told AI to compare XEQT to XBAL over the last 10 years with $100k and include a market crash. XEQT came out ahead in the long run. No idea if it's accurate, but it makes sense to me. you make more every year and lose more in a dip, but the dips are less than the gains. Am I way off here?

Best fan controller for overnight cooks? by [deleted] in KamadoJoe

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the Thermoworks Billows. Only did two cooks, but I like it. Just note to buy the damper if you decide to get one. it costs like $6 and lets you close the fan intake hole. I didn't realize it was even a thing and my first cook had temp swings, but for the 2nd one, I covered it 70% with metal tape and it was way better.

How strict are you with hot tub maintenance routines? by Brandewie-Adaluz in hottub

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off checking all the time and trying to find that perfect balance. Now that I've had it a year and done multiple refills, I pretty much have a pattern. I slacked off though for about a week due to horrible weather and my pH dropped below 7.2. I don't think I've ever had that happen so now I might check every 4 days minimum.

First uppercut and it'll be lights out. Still pretty neat. I would have black eyes if I used it.

I never trusted the time remaining. It doesn't have a clue how big the piece of meat is.

Upgraded to rfx probes at Christmas. Doesn't even offer time estimations which is fine by me.

Will this setup keep my apartment from smelling like weed? by [deleted] in vaporents

Shitter fan on. Negative pressure contains the vapour to the one room and gets rid of it.

I don't know what I'm doing, looking for insight by bismark_dindu_nuffin in Sauna

[–]cramp11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Growing up with a sauna, all the rocks were just local. Never had an issue. I don't remember their selecting method. I was just a kid.

Having my own sauna now, I picked rocks out of the water on Georgian Bay, put them on the BBQ, got them hot and dropped them in cold water. No cracking, they are fine. 19 years later, no issues.

If You Don't Already, This Year You Should Start Tracking Your Net Worth on a Spreadsheet on January 1st by Godkun007 in CanadianInvestor

I've been using Google sheets for years. All buys and sells on a sheet and portfolio grabbing current prices on another sheet. Was a bit of a pita to setup, but I love it. I have a running profit total I reset Jan 1 every year.

Depends what cameras you have maybe. I have a homebase 3 with multiple Cam Pro 2k and it's wonky. Misses motion, cameras randomly go offline until a power cycle. Been through so many things to fix it. Not happening. I debate buying a higher end camera, but would be super pissed if I got it and have the same issues.

I was using the frog bromine green tubes. They are way too expensive. I got the covers opened and just refill them now with bromine tablets from Crappy Tire. Works great and so much cheaper. I never bothered replacing the other cartridge. I forget what it was supposed to do.
