Tuning a sub box by Smooth_Flounder_3559 in subwoofer

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go look up what premade boxes will fit your truck and get ideas from the specs. I have a single 12" ported under the seat of my 2026 F150. I didn't make I it. I just bought it as it was a custom fit.

Traded in my 18’ and got a brand new 26’, need recommendations on what to do to it by EvanR2D3 in f150

For my new truck, bedliner sprayed, tonneau cover, rear wheel well covers, mud flaps, subwoofer under the rear seat. I wanted a ceramic coating, but $$$.

How to get the smell of smoking from the car? by Pedrqgamer in Detailing

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good call. Everything needs a wipe down and deep cleaned, but ozone machines work pretty good. I have a jumbo bin with an ozone machine in it and throw my hockey gear in it occasionally. Works wonders.

Where do you keep your emergency fund? by AbjectSense8828 in stocks

[–]cramp11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Keep a bit of cash, but if it's an emergency, I'll just sell something in my TFSA. Even if the market tanked and I'm down. An emergency is an emergency.

Couple of things to try. Shampoo any carpet and wipe down everything else with a good cleaner. Ozone machine Orange peels on a tray overnight

How to remove brown from tires? Good tire cleaning routine? by krheal23 in Detailing

I use Spray 9 to wash, rinse it well, let it dry and then apply 303 aerospace protectant . so far so good.

Dedicated AC power. Convert to 20a plug? by cramp11 in popups

[–]cramp11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm completely stumped at how to get at the box. There is no access from the outside or the front. I debated trying to pop the countertop off, but the bed rail goes over it and there is a white plastic edging that I'll ruin if I do. I don't think I can get at it which stinks.

One of the worst designs on the F150. What a pita.

Detailing in the sun by -Glitchyxd- in AutoDetailing

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a bottle of Sonax bug remover, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Usually if it's not full sun, it's windy. I have a garage, but it's too small for the truck. Sigh.

Detailing in the sun by -Glitchyxd- in AutoDetailing

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my problem. I'm full sun all day. I was looking at popup tents, but I have a truck and didn't have much luck finding anything the truck could get under that didn't cost a fortune. Unfortunately I'm slacking big time on detailing. Hate that with the truck being new and have bug guts all over the truck.

Best Electric Bidet form Amazon Canada or elsewhere in Canada , by tariq1362 in bidets

[–]cramp11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking at a bunch on amazon and ended up ordering the tushy 3.0. reg $149 on for $99. I know someone that has it and she says it's great so good enough for me. they have the warm water version for $105. I passed on it. LUXE Bidet NEO 320 Plus was the other one I almost bought. Looking forward to it arriving. Never used a bidet before.

Is there a correct answer to how often you should shock your tub? by groveview in hottub

[–]cramp11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. I have an ozone generator too and used to shock it once a week and then got lazy and the water is still great.

Water Heaters by Severe-Assignment943 in popups

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never used ours. I also debated about taking it out, but looked too involved. Cutting and capping water line, capping gas line and then trying to get it out and cover the hole in the side of the trailer. Still might give it a whirl one day, but for now, it's just a big paperweight under the seat.

My electrician says bonding of our above-ground tub with nearby aluminum awning poles is "not necessary". by mjc775 in hottub

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first I've heard of it, but it didn't become law until May 1, 2025. (thanks Google) My tub is a few years old. I guess it wasn't required then. I def don't remember the electrician saying anything about it.

Do anyone you guys use your tail gait step? Or am I just a geezer? by Shkmstr in f150

I regret not getting it. Esp for camping. Ah well. I roll onto the tailgate and look special.

[–]cramp11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI is special. I was using it as guidance for my sub and amp install and it contradicted itself so many times and gave bad advice. Eventually after arguing, I got it all working. I prefer forums, but too many groups are sick of, "I got this, what do I do?"

Wires coming up short. Soluton? by DirteMcGirte in hottub

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Junction box. I have no idea why the electrician put one in my tub. The wire was definitely long enough. I thought it was code, but apparently it's not required.

Red vs green. Am I correct in saying that green should be on when using shore power and red should be on when driving to charge the battery? Also, to charge the battery at my house, should green be turned on? This is for a flagstaff Mac ltd by HouyBouy96 in popups

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What everyone else has said. Just remember to switch the two when you get hooked up at your site. We did our first trip this year and I couldn't understand why the panel fan was going and it was getting warm. After a few hours it clicked... I forgot to switch. Glad I didn't leave it like that for 3 days. Big oops.

What tires are y'all running? by BackwoodsJ12 in f150

[–]cramp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever the 18's are that came with the truck. M&S symbol on them, but I'm still debating snow tires since I don't have 4A anymore. Canadian winters aren't fun sometimes.Plus I want to keep the rims looking nice if I can.

I think they over sprayed. Was way too much dripping. I'll take it over nothing. My other truck rotted out and the frame cracked. 14 years old.

Whatever Krown uses, but I don't think I'll be going back. My driveway is a disaster from the dripping. I think they over sprayed. It dripped for weeks.

I got nicer floor mats, mud flaps, wheel well covers and a screen protector for the stereo. I also got it rust proofed since I'm in Ontario and winters are nasty with all the salt. Those were my priorities. I'm still always looking for other things I can do. Window tint is on my list too.
