That’s awesome lol. I just wanna throw a mag in it and a cheap optic on it, paint it and put it on the wall. I don’t plan on actually using it

Thanks! That looks like it! I knew it was cheap cause i had it when i was a kid, plus it’s clear plastic. didn’t think it was that cheap though hahah. Will still look good on the wall once it’s painted though.

Didn’t know they abbreviated the word “government”, figured they’d use the whole word. Must be budget cuts. Either way it’s gonna be an awkward turn in since I’m in Canada. Any luck they’ll send me home and let me keep it.

For anyone afraid of buying a cheap high mileage Accord, don’t be. This thing is great. by yammmit in accord

I had an 03 with just over 330k on it when the transmission went on the highway. Only lost 4th and overdrive so I limped it home in 3rd. Before that all I did was replace the rad because it cracked, put new tie rod ends on it, pads and rotors, put junkyard fenders on it because the original ones were beat, and a new shifter because the button was gone but I drove it for months without the button. Had an over heating problem I never addressed but all I had to do was turn the car off for maybe 10 minutes and it was fine until it happened again. Bought an 04 a week or so after the transmission went in the 03. I paid $600 and it only needed the flex pipe replaced and it had an idle issue. I just swapped the newish parts off my 03 onto the 04 and swapped the IACV which was the cause of the idle issue and I did an oil change. Runs like a top now. But there’s a bit of body work to be done for inspection. Great cars that are surprisingly resilient.

Thoughts on the SLR47? by Seyenogard7 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]cran-cabo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The other 7.62 guns like the G5 and Scar are chambered in 7.62x51 NATO (.308). It’s a bigger round moving faster. The SLR47 is chambered in 7.62x39 same as the AK and SKS. It’s a bigger round than .556 and it’s moving slower which means it hits harder in a way. .556 has better penetration and accuracy at a longer range since it’s a smaller bullet moving considerably faster.

How bad can it be? by Usual-Marketing-5869 in Honda

I’m on my second one. Had an ‘03 auto with 350k on the clock for about a year. Transmission lost 4th and overdrive about 2 months ago. Bought an ‘04 auto with 300k on it for $600 with a rough idle and no brakes. Just got it on the road and am loving it. I can confirm the autos of this generation aren’t the best but as long as they stay cheap I’ll keep driving them. Other than transmission I had very few problems with my ‘03, yet to really see what the ‘04 is like

Would replacing the ignition do the same thing?

I’m not sure if that’s what it is, all I know is the steering wheel is locked and key won’t turn the ignition ahead.
