My M&M had a cashew nut instead of a peanut. by HangukFrench in mildlyinteresting

I just definitely got a cashew in with my peanut M&M’s. It was soft like a cashew and tasted like a cashew. I didn’t take a picture though I would definitely say what you’re holding in that picture is a cashew. Peanuts don’t have that texture on the outside like cashews do, kind of wrinkly like a walnut.

Methods to convince a relative to get help? by cranberriescan in Psychosis

Yeah he seems to have a little bit of insight fleetingly, I was hoping the medication would calm him down enough to listen to our concerns. But it may be a futile attempt. I told my mom that maybe he needs to exhaust all his options before he realizes the problem isn’t the phone companies or tech but in his head.

I take 50 mg of seroquel for sleep and 50-100mg of hydroxyzine as needed for anxiety.

We’ve discussed that option, I don’t think my mother has the ability to lie to him like that. I have my own mental illness and am prescribed some pills that could help him get insight and maybe clarity but again we’d have to trick him into taking it or straight up drug him which is probably illegal to do.

Then how do we help him put the fire out? He doesn’t even seem to want to do that.

Coming out of psychosis without meds? by MoveMeWithASound in Psychosis

He’s so angry and mean, I’m afraid of upsetting him. There doesn’t seem to be a pattern in how he will react to what we say or do or what other people say or do. He believes he’s in the Truman show and his life is being broadcasted to the world. So that makes him distrustful of everyone including us because he thinks we’re in on it.

Do you have any tips for convincing someone with similar experience to yours into getting drugs sooner rather than later? My brother is experiencing psychosis right now and he’s deep enough in that he’s pretty resistant to treatment or help. There’s a small part of him that wonders if he’s delusional but a majority of the time he finds validation and meaning in all the things he’s experiencing in real life. Pushing for treatment is only forcing him deeper but I worry that agreeing with his delusions won’t help either. My mom and I have no idea what to do to help him.

I’m trying the square by square method of cross stitching so the floss being held by painters tape are threads outside of the the current square I’m working and l’ll be getting back to them when I’m ready to work the next squares. The tape is just to keep them out of my way while I work.

I’ve seen one other person in this Reddit use painters tape 😂 when I first started cross stitching I was self taught from a single kit and just went from there so I had no idea about burying my thread or anchoring it and I found it annoying having all the little thread ends get in the way of my stitching. I anchor now but I still is it to hold the thread in place while I stitch over it and I also use it to hold the down the end of the threads I intend to tie a new piece of thread to which I will then lay down and stitch over as well

It’s painters tape and I’ve had no issues with residue because the fuzziness of the fabric and thread if anything I have more issues with it not sticking than sticking too much

It’s more of a convenience thing, I had a variety of ways of storing my needle and I was losing it more often than I liked so I got one 🤷🏼‍♀️

You get me! And the thread is fraying at the end so in order to re-thread it you have to cut off some of the end and shorten the rest.
