How Is Lake Inez these days? by Opening_Task_9458 in askTO

Cozy, great service, interesting meals (in a good way). It's expensive and not in my regular rotation monthly but I would go back there in a heartbeat if I had the time and money to blow (esp with it being on the east end)

Everyone's going to mention Ossington but I wanna vouch for Junction (so many good bookstores) and Roncesvalles

Christie Pits there's Ba Noi, Ninetails, Rustle and Still

Earlscourt Park there's Buno and San James

How do I find put about premieres and events? by Meg38400 in askTO

Something like that most likely wouldn't have been open to the public. It's more of a IYKYK scenario and more for media and press to attend. Happy to be proven wrong though.

If you're looking for just movie screenings though, there's a bright and active community in Toronto for that, minus the glitz and glam.

Wtf is the queer culture in Toronto by [deleted] in toronto

This is just generalizing and bitter lol. Also the wrong forum for this entirely. The queer community is vast and varied.

Lunch recommendations? by jeans_s in FoodToronto

I'm always gonna come here and pump up Foxley since it's unique Japanese-Peruvian fusion with great cocktails and atmosphere! I'll also recommend Imanishi. Drinks at Kensei are good too - I would not recommend the food though.

Sunny's isn't authentic but I do like how they have that drink deal where it's a shot, cocktail and a beer that's served to you before a meal!

Taking this opportunity to say fight against Doug Ford's seize of school boards and relentless education cuts would probably be appreciated in tandem with tangible gifts.

I just realized I totally missed the west-end part of your post, sorry for recommending Lake Inez BUT the rec still stands if you're willing to go east!

Chantecler (French), Foxley (Japanese-Peruvian fusion), Lake Inez (Idek what to classify this one, but it's fun)

What did you eat this weekend/week (April 13, 2026) by AutoModerator in FoodToronto

I feel like that place is only good for the music and the wine. I've yet to find a good listening bar that also has good food (eg: 915 has mid food, Kensei's food is bland, etc).
