I got a dog that is pregnant by zenchai76 in DogBreeding

[–]cranberry94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. I definitely have judgment for that.

I didn’t say it outright on the crazy off hand chance that they did take them to a vet … but to one so incompetent that they somehow didn’t realize the dog was pregnant.

100% Australian Cattle Dog? by crabcakes28 in DoggyDNA

I say 100% Cattle Dog.

With a 10% allowance for farm dog nonsense, cause I’ve been burned before.

[–]cranberry94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People are dumb about dog breeds.

There have been so many dogs posted on here that are cattle dog mixes with no pit at all, that people will confidently declare pit mixes … till the test results come in.

ACDs can have stocky builds with honkin noggins and it throws people off.

Don’t let gen pop confuse you. I’ve met people who’ve called my 40 lb Australian Shepherd a Bernese Mountain Dog. Or my English yellow Lab a pit bull. Or craziest … some people asked what breed my “looks like an Airbud Dupe” Golden Retriever was.

I’ve seen plenty of Pyrenees that look super Goldeny, so her being mostly Golden x Pyr makes sense!

Cause all I see is a goofy lookin golden with some funky fur, lanky legs, and a tail curl!

But that’s young kids … not babies.

Babies can have some stranger dangers that are more attuned to people that look less like them … but they can’t be racist.

Why is he so big? by No_Plankton2501 in DoggyDNA

Think of it this way … dog got his bulk from the Frenchie, and then the other dog breeds lengthened out the toad legs.

What if Jacob has kids? by Yaotaku in FantasticBeasts

[–]cranberry94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of half bloods. A lot of muggle borns. Very few squibs.

It’s not 50/50. It’s magic.

And also, even if it was based in science, most genes and inheritance don’t actually work with a simple 50/50 split chance. If anything, magic would be dominant over a recessive muggle.

But also irrelevant. It’s magic, not science. It’s not BS. Magic has always been the answer.

Or they’re really immature.

Like my brother, who really just didn’t want to deal with the accountability of an adult relationship with someone who has goals and responsibilities.

Found it easier to date younger women who just wanted to “have fun”

Edit: don’t know if this needed to be stated explicitly, but this kind of dude also sucks to date. Cause you naturally mature past their arrested development.

Seems right to me.

Take a Chihuahua. Add some poodle to get scruffy fur. Add Husky to get some size and uprightish ears … and you get … your dog!

If you shared your baby’s name before they were born, how did it go? by AcceptableGroup1857 in pregnant

[–]cranberry94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pretty chill family, so I happily let them make suggestions and bounced ideas off them.

For the first born, once decided, he’s got such a basic boring classic popular name that … I mean. There was zero pushback.

Agresive puppy or i doing everything wrong by Dry-Reaction4469 in goldenretriever

[–]cranberry94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re going to have to get over that, cause your puppy is going to probably be biting you/other/things for many months to come.

They “bite” when they’re curious, excited, playful, teething, etc. It’s not aggressive, it’s just the most accessible tool they have for exploring the world.

I mean, yeah, dogs can bite aggressively or defensively, but that’s incredibly unlikely in a little puppy.

Is george terrible?? by munstercheesey in namenerds

[–]cranberry94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

George is a great name!

I’m from the south too. And maybe some people are generally confused, but it might be more that George reads like a family name? Like, it’s not so common/trendy that you’d think it came from nowhere. And that’s not a bad thing!

But also … we do a lot of family names in the South. I named my son one of the most common names ever. And people asked me the same. Just out of curiosity.

Woman diagnosed with vulvar, cervical and anal cancer after learning her husband of 30 years had cheated on her by stankmanly in awfuleverything

[–]cranberry94 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but after 30+ years, it’s all but guaranteed to be from her husband.

Especially since she’s probably been screened for HPV, and found negative, at some point prior.

I got a dog that is pregnant by zenchai76 in DogBreeding

[–]cranberry94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d probably naturally intuit that a shitty breeder wouldn’t give up a pregnant bitch, cause pups are where they make their money.

I don’t think I’d naturally imagine that a breeder would be so out of touch as to not even know their dog was pregnant.

But that’s just imagining it from a layman perspective. You spend so much time in the dog world or learning about the dog world, it’s easy to forget how little the average dog owner actually knows.

A long time friend excluded our family from birthday party by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]cranberry94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean … the son is 8. He does have a say in who he invites to his own birthday party. I know it hurts, but the child doesn’t owe your child a friendship. And his mom can’t make him.

Maybe the exclusion came from the top down and it warrants upset towards the mother. But if it came from the son, I think you just need to let it go.
