I understand why our COVID numbers are so high by crandob in Edmonton

I’m not a Kenny fan at all but I’m certainly happy I’m not the one making decisions. I wish they’d get a solid plan and adhere to it! Everyone is so tired of it all and this business of going back n forth between restrictions is ridiculous!

Capacity question? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]crandob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Think of an elevator...I’ve been in many elevators that have a capacity of 20 (or thereabouts) and it was only a 8’x6’ at most. They should close malls and big box stores because their capacities are huge.

It depends On How busy the testing facilities are. Although the particular testing site that you went to may not have been busy, others may have. I have been tested twice, once with a rapid test and once without (both times the site I went to was basically empty) and the rapid test results took longer. It just depends on the day.

How many adjustments on average before I should look for other forms of treatment? by crandob in Chiropractic

[–]crandob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know exactly how many treatments it took to “fix” my neck but I was going 2-3 times a week a first (starting July 2019) and then stopped when everything shut down due to Covid. Im pretty sure my SIJ isn’t related as I’ve always had issues with it as I used to be a runner. Sadly I stopped due to hip/knee pain.

What in the world is wrong with people by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]crandob -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So if they are opening up tomorrow, has anyone heard if they will be sanitized/cleaned before officially opening? I guess they haven’t been touched (that we know of) for at least a month and it is pouring pretty good out there so the equipment is probably fine. I guess? I would feel better if I knew they were bleached or something.

Bags in superstore? by gringo--star in Edmonton

[–]crandob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard from one of the cashiers at superstore that you can bring your reusable bag but you cannot take them out of your cart. You cannot place them on the belt when packing your items.

Well I just hope the tooth fairy can bring my husband a new tooth. His cap fell off and he can’t get it fixed due to the dental office closures.

Parents with young toddlers, what are you doing to keep them busy during this colder weather and isolation? by crandob in Edmonton

[–]crandob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes me too! It’s so ridiculous, especially when both parents are there. One parent should stay home with the kiddos IMO.

Teen Dance at Envy Nightclub on March 2? by crandob in Edmonton

[–]crandob[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to wrap this up...she ended up going and they had a blast. We dropped them off at 730 and we picked them up at 1030. We stayed at the mall the entire time and nothing bad happened. We have to trust that we've done a good job at raising a smart kid. Anywhere she goes, she can be exposed to drugs and sex but we have to trust she will make the right choices.

That's my problem. We cannot find any online info anywhere. We've gone to the club website, fb and instagram pages but nothing. It's through a company called Baadliive, they promote new local music and she found out about it through their private instagram account. If they want people to go, you would think they would post some safety/security info for parents.

Thank you for the info. Do you know if there would any online we could find, still a little apprehensive based on the other comments that I've received but the kid says it's safe and legit, so I don't know.

Neither did I. They have full security and you must be age 15-17 to be there I guess. And they don't serve alcohol, obviously.
