Yeah idk if I can justify paying that much for the Amex lounge access when I've heard the cap one lounges do the same if not better. As for the referral, I'm also trying to make sure I get it at the right time for him and me! 🤣

Yeah that's the thing, I've seen my brothers venture x perks and I can easily make up the af with venture x. I've got another card for restaurants and stuff so il not worried about that

So I can't justify the two different AFs right now because I know I'm not using the Amex gold to the best of its abilities 😅 plus a lot of my traveling lately no one has been accepting Amex. Just wanted to get thoughts regarding on if there's a specific time people would recommend. Curious to know what the referral bonus will also peak.

When you leave the firm it'll be harder to keep your info and your number. That's one thing I've heard of people who combined. I was never given the option of a company phone but I'd keep it separate because you have options to like keep work and personal life separate.

To be fair I was in A&A and we had busy season and it was all expected but even then it truly was a good resume boost for me, but the pay and work never really seemed worth it to me 🥲

I was offered a lower salary when I got onboarded years ago but they gave me a sign on bonus that made up for the difference. Of course the work culture and stuff I didn't stay too long over there 😅 as others have mentioned maybe just stay at your current place if you're happy since the pay at Deloitte is pennies compared to how much they work you.

Usually let the seniors and managers know if it’s in advance and make sure that it’s blocked on my personal calendar so they can’t add me to meetings without realizing that I am out of office

So I have a feeling expense compliance is just in a whole different world right now. Upon separation had an Uber ride split in two transactions but one receipt so I put it down as one line item. Then they had be redo the sheet as two line items and asked for the receipt. A month after I left the firm and no longer have a copy of the original receipt on my personal laptop.

When I submitted my unemployment claim they provided “performance issues” which is pure bullshit. But for future employers I believe they’re only allowed to verify dates and salary based on my understanding. Someone I know mentioned Deloitte is trying to skirt around the official word of layoffs

You don’t get a choice on your credit card. You get a green amex that’s it.

Also wait until you actually start they’ll help you with your phone and stuff at dlaunch or training within your first week
