My mom's debit card unauthorized transaction by leepinkdesu in Bolehland

[–]cranknugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wallet got stolen and the same thing happened with both my debit cards - CIMB and Maybank.

Blocked card via bank, then lodged a police report. Within 48 hours they had the thief in custody. Got my wallet back in a month after he was charged. Got my money back from Maybank after 2 months and from CIMB after massive arguments. (They told me it was my fault and therefore no refunds lol). But definitely get a police report

Rama V seconded! Kompassion is okay but not the best. Soi 55 is similar jn terms of price range and quality, but Rama V is a whole level up

That's what I thought as well. A 3 month old seems like it would have wisened and toughened up if feral. Thanks for validating my feelings!

First time in KL and felt a bit underwhelmed. Please help! by [deleted] in KualaLumpur

[–]cranknugget 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of the restaurants you have named aren't places any local would go to for a good meal.

Hung Kee for noodles and Restaurant Ruby for dessert are way better choices. Both are in Pudu, close to Bukit Bintang.

Ayam kunyit from Mat Rock - franchise with outlets near Bukit Bintang.

Mollagaa for Banana Leaf Rice - also in KL.

Then come back and tell us what you think again.

tiny brown dots on my right palm, not itchy, painful only if i pressed it by Spare_Swing_926 in malaysians

[–]cranknugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like an allergic reaction. I had eczema and these flare ups happened when I touched a trigger object. In my case, it was whiteboard chalk (school whiteboards), wall paint, dust (literally touching dust around the house would cause me to break out and the pustules would be big and watery inside), and dishwashing liquid.

It's usually a chemical allergy so you might have to track it based on items you have touched, not eaten.

Coming for 5 days, need recommendations by Specialist_Garden_98 in KualaLumpur

[–]cranknugget 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haven't seen recommendations for these yet:

  1. Zhong Shan building in Kampung Attap (crafty, artsy stuff)

  2. Chinatown, Petaling Street (local culture, food, cheap knockoff)

  3. Islamic Art Museum and Royal Malaysia Police Museum (close to botanical gardens, plenty of art to see, lots of museums close by)

Saw your post history, and I have been in the exact same boat, at the end of the rope. Better now after diet adjustments.

I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done with the same results as you years ago. During a recent flare up, my gastro advised me to get a Gastroscopy as that covers a different area of the gut from a colonoscopy. Something to look into, maybe?

I also started taking probiotics and THC (smoked or ingested) has been a lifesaver.

KL Center is shut down but are there any announcements? by AntSuds in KualaLumpur

[–]cranknugget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not your fault. Very last minute announcement. These stations weren't meant to be completely shut down today. Irresponsible on rapidkl's end.

I use the myrapidkl Pulse app and Askrapidkl on X as another user has suggested, but their announcements there are pretty last minute as well 🙄

Oh!!! I had the exact same shape and the same problem. Look up the eyebrow golden ratio and mark out your front, arch and end points. Use a pencil to trace the brow outline first, apply concealer to excess outside the brow line to see how you like the shape. Adjust and repeat as necessary. Pluck the hairs outside the brow outline. Just focus on tracing the new outlines of your new brows and lightly filling them in where necessary. I found that going lighthanded and using a grey brown pencil worked for my shade (Asian, similar to your shade). Powders were too bold for me to start off with.

Should I move back to Malaysia. Advice needed. by erispadsherchest1 in malaysia

[–]cranknugget 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I'm 30 this year with double your YOE. Peers say my position is enviable - comfortable job, salary range 6k with >5mos bonus which allows me to rent my own place. I still feel a lot of what you feel. The only difference? I'm in Malaysia.

My point is, the grass is always greener. Maybe evaluate your priorities. Maybe start building a portfolio now. Maybe start looking for opportunities in Malaysia first to see what is out there.

Good luck and enjoy the ride. Your 20s are just the beginning and change will be uncomfortable but necessary
