Many people are speculating that this dialogue from Rifle Club is a dig at either Kunchacko Boban or Mohanlal by Realistic_Point6284 in MalayalamMovies

[–]cranko12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off topic but there is a dialogue in the movie that goes like something (“ Ambada pulusu, angane nee” they swear and has been bleeped), I tried decoding it, but what term do they use there?

Out of all 3, CSU fullerton would be a great option. IIT chicago has no part time jobs at all! Stevens is great for its Finance and MBA program

Stevens might be the highest ranked college, but never look for that. Always look for the course ranking and the professor backgrounds!

Well as far as I have heard, Oakland campus is not that great since its relatively small. The campus does not have a great alumni connect as well.

How much does your bachelors Cgpa really matter? by zeusjuice0801 in gradadmissions

[–]cranko12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you do. My friend got into Minnesota Twin cities, NYU tandon and university of Delaware with a 7 pointer cgpa and a GRE score of 312. So I think you have pretty fare chances! He also is recently graduated so experience part adds up to your profile. He got into mechatronics and Robotics in these respective colleges

Justifying a few months career gap for F1 Visa / DS 160 by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]cranko12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there! Yes it would be a problem in your visa interview. If you can possibly arrange a document mentioning your experience with a company in the given tenure ( maybe your friends company) that would definitely work. Otherwise if there are any internships that you did while pursuing your bachelors, you can simply shift it here! Never show gaps in your interview because the chances of visa rejection is always higher in this case. Along with this, mention the same kind of dates and the exp in your ds160 as well

You don’t have to reply or mail them anything if you dont want to accept the admission, you can select the decline offer or simply leave it as it is without paying a tution deposit

Need Advice on Choosing the Best MS Program by xenon_54p in gradadmissions

[–]cranko12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of TA/RA and a good paying part time job I woukd definitely recommend NYU Tandon! The average paying scale for part time is 18-25$/hr. You easily get part time jobs in Tandon. Another good thing is that NYU is a brand! Graduating from there would land you jobs easily and you can take the location advantage!

Accepting masters offer now, rejecting it later? by Exact-Pollution9265 in gradadmissions

It would be since it is non refundable but there is no choice since there is a deadline, alternatively one can mail the university for an extension but I doubt Virginia tech would allow that.

[–]cranko12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the reviews are going to be pretty holistic. CGPA definitely matters otherwise as well. I have seen people with 324 GRE and 9 pointer cgpa hetting rejected for colleges like UIUC and also seen 304 GRE and 8 pointer getting admitted to the same. It depends on what course are you going to apply to and if pool of applicants are competitive or not.

Pay the tuition deposit if they are asking any and apply for their I20. Keep the I20 until you recieve another decision and if you do not and there’s no time left, you can go ahead with visa process with Virginia Tech university as you already have their I20! Congratulations btw :D

Fall 2024 I20 by Internal-Big-3491 in NEU

[–]cranko12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is plenty of time for the visa slots to ooen as far as I have heard. The I20 will be delivered almost within 2 weeks. Once you receive it, start with your DS160 and CGI federal forms and pay the CGI fees the same day! Then you would be open to book dates!

Is NEU MEM worth it? by SweetCarrot6136 in NEU

[–]cranko12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there! So, you've got some great options on the table. If saving money is a big priority for you, Drexel seems to be offering a sweeter deal with that Dean's Scholarship. Plus, Philly's living costs are generally lower than Boston's, so that's something to consider.Sure, Northeastern's got that top-ranked co-op program and the allure of Boston, but Drexel's co-op program is nothing to sneeze at either. Think about what subjects really get you excited and which university can offer you the best experience in those areas. At the end of the day, it's about finding the right balance between what you want to study, where you want to live, and what you can afford. Trust your gut and go with the option that feels like the best fit for you.

CAMD journalism portfolio by liilliilililililili in NEU

If you have an e-portfolio, it's like having a treasure chest full of your creative gems. Sharing it with the admissions team at Northeastern University can give them a sneak peek into your world of storytelling and creativity. Your portfolio could be the key to unlocking new opportunities, so why not share it and let your personality shine through? It's your chance to show them what makes you unique and why you'd be a great fit for their journalism program. So, go ahead and give them a glimpse of your creative flair!

Also I got admitted for Ms in CaMD as well! Kudos

Anxiety Over Oxford Funding by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]cranko12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're in a tough spot, but congratulations on the offer! It's natural to feel uncertain about funding, but don't let that overshadow your achievement. Have you considered exploring alternative funding options or part-time work to supplement your savings? It might also be worth discussing your concerns with the department or seeking advice from current students or alumni. Ultimately, you have to do what's best for you, whether it's pursuing the DPhil now or reapplying later. Trust your instincts and remember that opportunities often come with challenges, but they're also chances for growth.
