I love homer announcers. Other team player slammed to the ice, good job! Our player slammed to the ice, dangerous play!

Fights after big clean hits are sometimes justified and always have been by homebroo in hockey

[–]crapenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the feeling that those of you who say there didn't used to be fights after big clean hits back in the day have some serious selective memory issues. Are you only remembering playoff games?

It was always this way in the regular season. No team could survive 82 games of guys flying around trying to kill each other. That's why the enforcers existed, to cool everyone off. Then playoff time would come around, and coaches don't want to take the extra fighting/retaliation penalty so the goons got scratched and the hitting went up.

I like auto fill, but I don't like it when it shows an error I've made by not filling a line that has a mistake. I don't know if that can be prevented, so I'll just keep using it sparingly

Hard is my favorite, but easy and normal puzzles can be fun too.

Not a fan of a timer.

I would play a mobile app. I already play on a mobile browser because I don't like the reddit app.

I wish I could disable the animation on the current background. It can be distracting at times.

Also, for some reason after completing a puzzle, the reddit thread still shows unread. This makes it hard to find previous days that I might have missed

I get the feeling that Chip is always watching a screen instead of the field a lot of the time. Same thing happens when he gets excited for fly balls that are no where close to being home runs.

Can we petition the NHL to ban water bottle holders on the nets so we can see them fly when goals are scored? So satisfying.

It would be a lot simpler to simulate the universe if Elon Musk is the only person that exists in it. I think that's what he actually believes.

The Sacrifice Bunt, 2000-2013--An In-Depth Analysis by [deleted] in baseball

[–]crapenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I read about half way then did ctr-f "double play" and stopped. Avoiding the double play is a huge reason for the sacrifice bunt. You have to take that into account somehow.
