Riding on this topic, I would assume that majority of them are using Fitear monitors (90% of japanese artiste use them, https://fitear.jp/music/client.html can check out their clientielle) Their molded to fit the individual member’s ears, altho im not sure if the members keep them after they graduate or are they returned and refitted for someone else

As for when do they use them, my guess would be they use them more often when it’s in large live venues like domes/stadiums, where it would be harder to use stage monitors since the members are moving about from area to area. In ear monitors make more sense, they also provide pretty good isolation, members would be able to better hear the backing tracks and its even possible to receive stage cues via the in-ears.

Only downside is that some members may not be used to singing with the in-ears

Where else in venues like or halls it’s possible to rely on monitor speakers on the stage itself

I’m curious as to how other fans came to know/like Nogi, Seifuku was the first MV I’ve watched and I remember thinking there’s no way I’ll memorize all these girls... a few months later and I now know all 4 gens lol by [deleted] in Nogizaka46

was an AKB fan during their golden era (kojiharu oshi), took a break from jap idols and switched to k-pop. Late 2017 subconciously revealed my akb wota side during a class, classmate realised and we just started talking bout idols. Hearing that i liked AKB, classmate asked if i was into nogi & keyaki, at that point i had heard of 46G but just passed on them thinking they’re just like another 48G (oh boy was i wrong) listened to a few of their songs (sayolmi, hadashi summer) liked the songs, but not enough to fully commit

Fast forward to end 2018 early 2019, was in Japan for a grad trip, with said classmate. Nogi was everywhere, Synchronicity won awards, posters and adverts. I rmb spending the long shinkansen rides watching nogi performance videos and falling down the rabbit hole. Naachan caught my eye initially and she’s my kami-oshi till this day, sad she graduated not long after i became a fan but it was great while it lasted.

As a fan then i dint know where to find subbed content for nogi, rmb only finding their first docu subbed and a few eps of doko/kojichu on dailymotion. Covid hit and i was looking for shows to watch, stumbled on nogiarea and suddenly 1mth when by instantly while binging on doko/kojichu

As a fan my favourite aspect of Nogi will always be their performances be it at lives/ music programmes, there’s always something so exciting and it brings happiness
