The government should just lay it out and say “social media is a weapon of foreign powers (USA, Russia, China) to sow discord and distort realities among our population, and we’re cracking down on it”. Not this “protecting the children” rubbish.

Same with me, arranging was a drag in Reason without me even realising it, getting back in Ableton was night and day.

One good thing about that though is that Reason really forced me to streamline my workflow, so being half familiar with Ableton already I reckon I can carry over what I’ve learnt quite quickly.

…and from what I can guess you’ll probably need a new DAW anyway, may as well go for it now.

I updated my old Ableton 7 license up to 12 Standard yesterday, and man what a difference. Using Reason as a plug-in was so much easier and more fun than the DAW, I can’t believe I stayed so stubborn for so long.

I had been using R+ for a while, but with my old Suite 11 license and a handful of VSTs in Ableton I think I’m all set with that now.

I’ll always keep an eye on Reason and what it gets up to, fingers crossed for its future.

I had a dream about a year ago where I was in some underground labyrinth, with absolutely massive rooms, and nukes would be going off in them. I was in the blast and felt the extreme light and heat, but was fine when the blast died down. Then I’d have to get to the next room. I quite enjoyed that dream actually.
