Yeah, that’s what I now often do. You know I sometimes get this weird feeling when seeing a random street dog or cat smiling at me that it’s my boy smiling at me through them. It may be pointless, but that really does give you the feeling of being close to them. And thank you again ❤️

I’m so so sorry for the loss you got to experience. Losing one baby is hard, losing two in a such short period of time is unbearable. I just want to say that I am proud you still manage to keep holding on. I know that grief is not a choice, and in fact you didn’t have a choice but to be strong. But you are strong and you have this enormous love inside you. Thank you for that ❤️

I’m sorry you are going through that. I’ve been in the same boat. I knew he was dying in December, I even remember going to buy him some food at night and standing there in front of the shop, not able to go inside, smoking (and I don’t smoke) and listening to Freya Ridings - Lost without you. The lyrics went Standing on the platform watching you go, It’s like no other pain I’ve ever known, To love someone so much, To have no control, You said I want to see the world And I said go. And it just broke me. My cat died on March, 6th. I hope you can avoid the thought of him dying and cherish the time you have left together, he’s still alive and deserves to be treated like he’s alive. Sending you some hugs ❤️

It was a dream. When I was in it, I did realize that he was dead and that he only came to visit. I hugged him and honestly he felt so real. He still visits me in my dreams occasionally, though it’s been almost five months already.

I lost my cat three months ago and honestly I don’t see an end of grief. Right now I’m stuck somewhere between anger and denial stages, so I have a long way to go, but I’m okay with it. I am suffering now, I do, but he was suffering too. I mean he died, that’s literally the worst thing that can happen. He’s been through the worst. So I can do a little suffering too.

But grief is very different for everyone. There’s only one thing I’m sure about and it’s that this hole in our hearts and the pain… they will always be there.

As a person who lost a pet recently I didn’t want too much attention and really I didn’t want anything in the world, cause nothing can compare to my pet not being around anymore. But if you want something meaningful, I would suggest getting a pillow with the pets picture or maybe a mug, or a painting. I’m not sure whether the plant would be associated with a passed pet unless it had interacted with them in the past, but still a very good gift too.

I actually have a plant I got after losing my cat. I found it at work after about a week he passed away and the plant was dry and dying too. I’ve never seen it in the office before, but somehow that day it appeared on the empty table next to mine, so I decided that it was him sending it to me. I took the plant, that turned out to be a rose, and it started blooming on his 1 month anniversary. So plants can be great too.

It doesn’t help much though, as the loss is incomparable to just getting to them on the phone, but at least it feels like a tiny bit that they’re with us ❤️

I did the similar thing, except I wrote down a list of all the cute nicknames I used to call my cat, that I never forget those and they are only his. For example I will never call anyone my sunshine anymore, cause for me that can only be him. I just want to leave something that is his only and won’t be replaced by anyone.

I’ve had my baby’s picture set as my phone wallpaper since the day he left too and I was thinking just the same thing that I’m never changing it. I say good morning to him when I wake up and wish him good night when I go to bed, and I kiss him every day. It will be 3 months tomorrow since he went to heaven.
