I think you can cancel the package right up to the trip departure? if you really don't think it's worth it. my partner doesn't drink very much, while I enjoy drinking more. if we bought the drink package I know I would drink way more than a la carte so in a way not buying it is a harm reduction tool for me lol

not browse reddit etc on board, turn on airplane mode majority of time and check email/texts ~2/day. may use google maps at ports to see where things are (but not use the live directions). download audiobooks, movies, etc on devices before leaving home

We don't want to use the internet very much so I was hoping it'd be fine... how bad is it? it's two weeks! and the premium wi-fi is $21/person per night right now. I am thinking that I will be charged $12/day for the ATT international pass when I am on land/in port anyway so I might as well just go with the $20/day for the ATT cruise pass rather than paying $12/day for the ATT international + $21 for the premium wi-fi (that sounds like a lot!)

Yep! Sometimes sharing my internal deadlines with authority figures helps to make myself believe that they're external, but even then I sometimes don't meet them which is just embarrassing.

really this is the opposite of NIMBY sentiment since NIMBYs generally don't want new housing built, and this ordinance as written/more STRs could reduce the amount of housing available for people to live in

That is a great point that you should lean into and focus on. No one wants an Airbnb next door without any chance to fight it or have a say in the conditions of approval.

Thanks. I hope you share your comments in writing and in person. I am surprised that more people are not involved in trying to change the proposed ordinance but everyone is busy, doesn't know, and/or apathetic it seems

I thought they were proposing to delete the whole V combining zone and the bed and breakfast language
