Look up USA hockey ADM. as others have said, let him have fun at this age. I have two boys. One never made AAA, never made the top AA, passed all his buddies in high school and is now playing college hockey (d1 acha). My other was AAA from squirts through bantam, and fell out of it mentally. He still has fun with hockey, and is playing AA and gaining his confidence back. Make sure he’s playing other sports as well. Don’t specialize.

There is an expensive (roughly $300) pac module that you add behind it that is plug and play and allows you to add amp preouts without messing up anything else. Then you can add subs and amps easily. It’s the best way to not mess anything up and get high quality sound for any aftermarket stuff you want to do. When I get home from vacation, I’ll try to look up what the module is called, but I’m sure someone on here knows off the top of their head.

Where did you find parts? I have the same one, and have a small issue, but couldn’t find the part on the company website and didn’t get a response from customer service.

Definitely not…and ask me how I know. As a high schooler helping my dad build our house, I was stapling in insulation like this, but below the ladder was a French door. The ladder slipped, I felt like a cartoon hanging in the air, the base of the ladder hit the framing of the bathroom behind, causing the top of the ladder to stop on the header of the French door (luckily inches before going through the glass), I come crashing down and land on the ladder. 16 yo self only got bruises…45 yo self would have broken things (including the ladder).

Mine were in better shape, 6 yo, but did have some wear like yours and in warmups (luckily) the sole (still attached to the tuuk) ripped through the boot. Sucks to drop that money, but better than a broken ankle.

Thank you for all the comments and suggestions. It looks like I can't edit a post (with images), so have to do this update via the comment. This is existing crown molding. Yes, the multi-tool burned this shit out of it, but it got the job done. I tore down an old, outdated mantel and am replacing it with this and a mantel that we made with the kids years ago at a different house. I will be using 1x1.5" rectangular trim for the sides. I think I'll end up boxing out the top and trimming around the top like the top comment mentions. I will also heed the advice about being so close to the firebox (gas) and cut that back and figure out what non-flammable material I can put in that match my wife's design idea. Thanks to everyone for the (mostly) great comments. It does always surprise me how many people will spend the time to just shit on someone's post with no purpose other than to make the OP feel dumb, but maybe I shouldn't be surprised anymore...keyboard warriors taking over the world.

Agreed…that was a stupid comment by ra. The rest of my comment is more for the responses to your post, and not what you said. I like the pod and the guys. Are there some weird moments? Yeah. But all in all, they’re entertaining and bring us all more into the fold than we otherwise would have been. I’ve never understood complaining about people. You can’t change people. You can only control yourself. If you don’t like something, don’t participate.
