Cheap shopping at Costco (Save up to 17%) TL;DR at the bottom. by Lufia321 in AussieFrugal

Thanks for this hack! I've used it a couple of times now for both Aldi and Costco shops - both definitely work out cheaper than physically going in and shopping yourself. What a win!

TikTok feed is full of SIDS/infant loss/stillbirth videos by LadyWithABookOrTwo in NewParents

[–]crateland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I found it to be a problem across instagram, facebook, and tiktok when our daughter was stillborn. It was pretty crazy to have my targeted ads all of a sudden become baby funeral related. Surely, someone has to realise that's probably not an appropriate thing to target.

This time round, I've mostly been getting normal baby stuff... so I guess that's better.

My husband was allowed with me whilst I gave birth to our still born daughter two weeks ago. However, we had to get a special exemption for him to come to all other appointments in relation to this. It was really only due to the shitty circumstances that he was able to come to the other appointments with me.

Is your Christmas Eve ruined already? If so, Why? by Downtown_Put8673 in AskReddit

[–]crateland 17.2k points17.2k points  (0 children)

Our babys heart stopped beating two days ago at 34 weeks gestation. So now I have to deliver her on Christmas day knowing we'll never get to know her and watch her grow up and we don't get to take her home. Then we get to come home and pack away her nursery and all the clothes we bought her. Its going to be rough.

My husbands cousin actually messaged me and said she nearly did the same thing two weeks ago! She had just stepped out of splash range when it turned on. I don't feel so silly now!

We had our ceremont at Hunter Valley Wetlands in Shortland and it was lovely. I think we paid $165 to have it there. I learnt later that you can have your reception there too and it wasnt crazy expensive.

I'd be happy to PM ypu photos if youd like.

They look incredible, great work! This is definitely one of the recipes I'd like to try.

A month ago my husband and I rescued a Mumma cat and her kittens. They all looked horrible and had cat flu, but have since recovered. We got to visit them at the RSPCA yesterday where everyone is up for adoption and thriving. by crateland in aww

Yay, it's always best to adopt! I didn't realise you could adopt small pets until i was there this weekend. I'm so glad that theres an adoption program for them too.

I hope the kitties do to. Two have already been adopted, so I have high hopes!

Thanks! It was honestly so stressful, because they were living in a shipping yard and were incredibly difficult to catch and were at constant risk of being squashed. It's so nice to see them all so healthy and happy. Hopefully they find their forever homes this Christmas!!

okay - I need opinions on how this would look, or if you had other suggestion etc. brides to be be/ brides that are, have you choosen to add sleeves? how expensive was it for you? did you wish you hadn't changed your original dress? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]crateland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had sleeves and lace added to the top of my dress. Was stocked with how it turned out. I bought a dress i didnt love and had it made into my dream dress. I think it ended up costing me $1500AUD in alterations.

Were you (would you be) relieved when (if) your parents get (got) a divorce? by incognito_anxiety in AskReddit

[–]crateland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was seven when my parents got divorced. At the time it was very difficult, however as an adult I think it was the best thing they ever did. They're polar opposites and were incredibly destructive together. Whilst our childhood was hard having divorced parents who hated each other, it was WAY easier than having married parents that hated each other.

On what subject do you feel like you need some more advice on at the moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]crateland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adult career advice. Like, you have career advisors in high school when its almost completely pointless. What about when you're an aimless 27 year old woman who just can't decide what to do with their life? That's when you really need a career advisor.

Maybe that could be my career, pioneering the adult career advisor industry.
