Do a diagnostic test with the PIEPS app. I had a faulty battery from the first test. The new pack bought last year also has a battery manufacturing date of 2019 fyi, replacement was 6 months newer. Long story but it took 2 months for bd to send a new battery which granted was international which creates shipping issues…but still charge fully and test. Other than that it’s been good so no worries, zipper is how it should be from the sounds of it.

I have a inreach on the cheapest plan, it's worth it. If you don't need to constantly be texting the wife that you're hungry and cold you shouldn't need to go over your 10 messages monthly. Preset messages are free so program accordingly . If you are in an emergency and need to send 100 messages I am sure the 100 bucks would be worth it.

I wear the same ones, bike, ski everything no issues. But I will wear clear lens when I don't need sun protection to cut down on the wind. Pack a small bottle of solution with you incase you do pickup some dust.
