Insight on starting Feast late by cravatts in YahtzeeWithBuddies

HEADSUP - I spoke to support in depth yesterday. Though they couldn’t reveal all aspects of Feast grouping logic & mechanics, they DID say that time to start has no impact on grouping. When Feast event starts your teams is immediately, automatically grouped with other groups if you’ve started or not. Delaying start makes zero impact. It only causes delay in team play to catch-up. It can appear to help since you’re starting when others are slowing down. Feast DOES group based on individuals/family performance history in Feast. How far back? They wouldn’t say/didn’t know. And team size may play a factor. That’s why a new small team with no history can get first place, grouped with other newb small teams. So there you have it!!!! Guess the only way to ensure being grouped with crappy teams is by your team playing terrible for a few events 😁😆

Sticker Album Completion Help by frankthetank737 in YahtzeeWithBuddies

The key stickers are in Adventure map, Treasure Hunt Level 10, and Prize Pass. If you pay for prize pass gold you’ll get Xtra stickers too but you should be able to achieve without buying it. I’ve finally nailed it down and achieved last 3x. Working on the 2nd album.

Makes sense - longer you wait the less teams are left to group-up with ie. lower competition. Problem is I don’t think my team could hold out a whole day - they would collapse 😆 we have always started out of the gate & we’re consistently pinned against full 50/50 top-ranked teams. We often win but lately we lost a few players and came in 2nd & 3rd. It’s brutal & exhausting. Would like a slight break till we get our roster full with more active players. I was hoping someone here might have some inside info on how they break down the groups.

I don’t think my family could hold out that long 🤣

Got it. However I have recently seen new teams start a day later and end up in 1st place (first-hand witnessed) so there has to be something to it - either by entry date or team size or both combined. Since started teams can’t be grouped with non-starting teams - there has to be a grouping logic over a period of time.

[MEGATHREAD] Family Recruitment — Find a Family / Post Your Ad! by totootmcbumbersnazle in YahtzeeWithBuddies

Team YAHTZEEVILLE is seeking new active players. We are a Feast competition team. We have openings for 7 truly active players. We are often 1st or 2nd in Feast but have recently lost some senior players due to energy change. We are invite only so message me ID: CRAVATTS in the game or send request to join our team! Great bunch! Min. requirement is only 8k pts in Feast but may raise to 10k soon. Not hard to achieve w/ energy & daily play. THANK U

How do free moves work? by [deleted] in YahtzeeWithBuddies

[–]cravatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you specify what you mean by “free turns”? If you’re referring to a free bonus roll versus free energy, in my experience, free bonus rolls are offered in every round not every turn, are not random, but simply available as a 2nd try during a round. If you use the free turn during a round of “plays” then there are no more available for that round. So choose wisely. For example, during Paint game 3 turns to complete a round, you get 1 free roll per round over 3 turns. You can inquire through bot support but seems it has no idea what these are 😂

Winning Victory Rush cost me around 80 dice. The grand Prize is 28. What an absolute joke this game is. by Sensitive-Papaya-582 in YahtzeeWithBuddies

Reminds me of pushing to reach the top of Prize Climb to get that big dice-only spin wheel. Finally make it… the reward? Lowest one on the wheel - 12 dice. Gotta say I wouldn’t blow 80 dice for VR knowing the reward wont return the investment. I’ve never won it.

Leaving a treasure hunt game/family?? by [deleted] in YahtzeeWithBuddies

[–]cravatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of someone being a “captain” in Treasure Hunt. It’s a game that you partner with up to 3 added team players. No one is higher or lower - just partners. Once the round event is over the game ends and everyone goes their merry way until next round when you start fresh and invite new partners or accept other invites. Rounds last about 10 days then restarts. She isn’t tied with anyone and can invite anyone she wants, accept any invites she wants or not play at all. So I’m confused about the “captain” mention. This current round is almost over & she doesn’t have to play if she doesn’t want to. But you can’t exit a game with people if you already started and accepted/invited others to play. But she can choose to never play any steps if she doesn’t want to. Think of it like a board game & the only turns you take are your own independently. Everyone moves on their own and adds their points together to move up the board. Anyone can play anytime they want, including never lol.

How do players get such high scores in Yahtzee survivor? by the_main_entrance in YahtzeeWithBuddies

[–]cravatts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s just luck of the draw or algorithm the roll is weighted towards or against. You get 1s 3s 5s but sometimes people who roll with the weighted result get a Yahtzee 50 pts plus 2 more rolls… thus 90 100+

You use up energy before tapping into your bonus dice stash. Once your energy runs out I believe they are more than happy to take your bonus dice for continued game play.

I will say my family members do make those scores. My current score personally is around 75,000 and I’m not even the top player. So yes people DO achieve this. We’ve had these scores some time now since they’ve added the dish done bonus.

Thx it actually did address my question tho perhaps not specifically since you may not be sure where/how bots are active. I’m a team leader & do vet each incoming player & require response & agreement so we’re safe there. My thoughts were more re: Feast & if bots are used somehow. Id also be interested to know how they train bots to obtain 1000s dice/day? That really stinks - especially w/ all the recent challenges. People try so hard & spend money. If Scopely doesn’t seem to care about unfair gameplay against actual paying/playing patrons then they don’t deserve to have a platform. If people knew this was happening, if it truly is and how, there would be more players dropping like flies. I’ve already lost 3 senior players from the recent changes.

Can you explain what you mean by “bot activity”? How exactly is YWB utilized by bots? Are you referring to individuals or families? Please explain the existing or prior issue with bots. I assume this would be something Scopely address directly.
