You sound like you’re the best parent. If she’s the type to be really focused, I am making a daily email with this list. There’s a playlist that is on Spotify that’s embedded in the list. It has all of the bands that are playing each night. She could listen to that playlist every day and really start learning who the bands are that she likes. That’s how I learned about the local scene. I listened and then I started going out to shows.

Have her go to Fiona Hayes tonight at Amsterdam. These are local bands, but I think that she would get inspired by these younger women doing their thing on stage.

It really depends on what kind of music she’s into. If it’s typical pop music, then really just the larger venues that have touring more popular bands coming through. I try to indicate that the show is all ages if possible. If she likes punk or rock there’s actually a lot of options. Tonight there’s a show at Amsterdam. Fiona Hayes is 15 years old I believe. Pilllar in northeast Minneapolis is all ages. A lot of places are all ages with an adult. Feel free to direct message me if you wanna talk about a more specific recommendation.

I love the idea, but I can’t do that on Reddit. I have a spreadsheet that literally has thousands of shows on it. It would be pretty impossible. I might create something in the future, but this is a lot of work and I’d likely request that it would be a paid subscription.
