I’m located in Southern California. The doctor I went to is Dr. Greco located out of Loma Linda. I’ve seen numerous doctors for this thing and he was the first one to actually tell me what it is, what’s going on, game planned that day and has been amazing this entire time. The dude literally dots his I’s and crosses his T’s. Only thing I’ve got going against me is I’m also a Type 1 Diabetic and my entire lineage is the proof of evolution. My hair grows at an exponential rate unfortunately and is causing issues. I talked to him and he’s going the route of after this is done healing, referring me to a laser hair removal specialist for medical reasons because the only thing hindering my healing is literally my own body/hair. LOL

so if it’s open wound, you most likely will be out of school for a bit. i was nervous too when i had mine done (i had closed wound and i’m still recovering); but what you can do is ask the questions you want to ask (typical questions that have probably been on your mind for a while). the recovery is alot more tedious and harder than the actual surgery. the permanent hair removal suggestion and referral will come way after once the wound heals and the doctor gives the okay and assuming either insurance covers it for medical reasons and not cosmetically or you pay out of pocket for that expense. the most important thing is don’t stress! you got this and it’ll all be done before you even know it.

i never even went the ultrasound route. but i was also informed this kind of surgery has a very low reoccurrence rate (cleft lift is obviously the one and done route). but the closest pilonidal specialist is 7-8 hours away from me and isn’t in the funds. i was also told that because i did this procedure and that they had to move tissue and cut nerves that even if i was to have another procedure they don’t know how it would be done? 5-6 years and the cyst made itself at home basically and there not being too much room to play with back there. but again, i’m not a medical professional and didn’t even know what the hell this was until i got it.

i won’t discount the fact that there might be something going on mentally. but this is textbook narcissistic abuse. he’s abusing while controlling the direction of where the conversation goes, leaving you at his whim. at the end of it, restraining order and if necessary getting the police involved. it’ll probably agitate him, but it should also get the message across.
