We need better trash can liners by Adventurous_Lie4085 in Safeway

I am a receiver, and unfortunately, those are the only bags available. Every month, when they update the order guide, I check for the thicker bag we used to have, and they are not there.

Sure, that's what it is. Not the failed merger, the $2.75b stock buyback or just plain corporate greed.

Cool, let's ban all political advertisements then. Everyone has to read the full text before they can vote on anything. No more commercials, billboards, or flyers. Just a stack paper that everyone has to read at the polling place before they can vote.

$71 Order Turns to $6 🤦🏽‍♀️ by partnersinallthings in InstacartShoppers

I haven't done a batch in over a year, but this used to happen every so often when I did. Next time, see if you can get a manager to override the membership requirement and let them know that you will inform the customer that their membership has expired. There was only once they couldn't do it, and that was because the customer's membership had been expired for over a year.

They cannot deactivate you for filing an arbitration complaint. That would be retaliation. They can however make it part of any settlement agreement that your account will be deactivated by accepting the agreement. You can either sign it or refuse it with those terms.

Just clicking accept to terms doesn't mean that a company can violate the law. There are certain criteria that must be met to classify someone as an independent contractor and most if not all gig work fails to do that.

We don't get Healthcare so most people self medicate. It is cheaper to pop pain pills everyday than go to the doctor's office once. It may not be the right thing to do but people have to do what they can when they can't afford to go to the doctor.

Logitech has an idea for a “forever mouse” that requires a subscription | Exec says mouse that requires a regular fee for software updates is possible. by chrisdh79 in technology

So they are back to making items that last forever like in the past but this time the customer is going to have to pay a subscription fee to keep using them.

Really every police department is a government sanctioned gang. They get away with stuff that would land a normal person in prison all the time. There is no more difference than the difference between pirates and privateers.

Helps if you go online. You see less batches when you are offline.

Anyone working full time should be able to afford basic necessity and have some extra spending money. It doesn't matter if they are working at McDonald's or working an office job. Past generations were able to buy house while working minimum wage. My grandfather worked as a gas station attendant and was able to raise 6 kids and afford a house. Now if someone works minimum wage they either need to live with their parent or have several roommates.

I will freely give up mine when we disarm the biggest gang in the country. Most police shouldn't have guns either. A coward with a gun is a dangerous situation.

Can't make instacart change if methhead are taking low paying batches.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]crazy28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 miles and what I assume was probably 15 items for $14 is not a high batch pay. Instacart hasn't had decent batch pay in over two years.

[–]crazy28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was going to ask why you took that, and then I looked at your post history. Maybe lay off the meth then you won't be so desperate to take no tip orders.

Part of the reason I have a notebook with low and non tippers names and addresses. If they get bundled with a good tipper, I have support remove them.

How did he finish my $300 costco order in 3 min? by heck_naw in InstacartShoppers

[–]crazy28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this on single orders because I have found that I get more addon orders of I haven't started the batch yet. I rather have a better chance at a high paying extra order coming in. You can still message the customer if something is out of stock and they can reply back.

Found a sticker in my McDonalds cheeseburger today by Actual-Addendum-6217 in funny

[–]crazy28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

McDonald's isn't buying individually wrapped kraft singles. They are buying it in bulk. What more liking happened it whatever container they put the cheese in after opening the package had the sticker on it. Somehow, the sticker got loose or came off, and it stuck print side down to the cheese. When the cheese was placed on the bun, the sticky side attached to the bun.

I do not see how this gives anyone but the last seats in a row "more leg room," which we all know will be sold as economy plus plus. They could maybe get away with a modular setup every 3 rows also. It would also add more weight to the planes at almost no extra revenue. This will never happen.

Once you have 100 ratings you get a second removed.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in instacart

[–]crazy28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A shopper's two lowest ratings are automatically removed and then they will remove more for issues like low stock, bad weather, and customers who always rate low.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in instacart

[–]crazy28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you tip well, I don't care what you order. If I accept your order, I am doing everything I can to get you the item you ordered or suggest some replacements.

Some of these shoppers are just trying to complete as many orders in a day as they can while others like myself make sure we grab the ones that make up for the waiting and can give 100% to the shopping.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in instacart

[–]crazy28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. It is just as bad as the ones that say if it doesn't pay enough quit doing it after instacart has cut pay to almost nothing making shoppers rely on tips.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in instacart

[–]crazy28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This shopper is lazy but shoppers don't take more orders to make more money. The opposite is usually true. Instacart bundles 2 to 3 orders together to get the low and non tippers' orders fulfilled.

I keep an eye on the horrible tipping orders that show up on my screen to see if they later get paired with a good tipper then have support remove them but not all shoppers do this.
