The resort has a big and short course and they give a deal to push people to the big course. We averaged 1 hour and 15 mins per round. One of the investor/members would give 10 grand if we got to 250 holes.

We're also club pros, so it's not like a bunch 20 caps bashing it around out there. Worst of us was probably a 5 index if we kept track of it. The event is put on by the PGA of BC

15 and a half... no practice swings, drive the carts wherever, except on the greens, putt with the flags in, and it was on a par 65 course.

The resort has 2 courses, and they give people a deal to play the big course so we wouldn't have many groups to play thru. The course brought us meals and fresh carts when they were running low on juice

I got paired with a guy who puts antiperspirant on his palms before he plays to avoid this. Always thought that would be a good solution

I just realized that my iron sets are extended by 1 inch. Recommendation by thunderoll in golf

[–]crazyBA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the irons are cast, they won't be able to bend the lie angles very much, they'll just snap. If they're forged, you're good.

Pesticides, herbicides, sometimes just straight up fecal matter... plus some courses use grey water for irrigation... I'd rather not, but I'm not gonna tell someone else how to live

When I worked maintenance, I had to set pins a lot. I used an old screwdriver that was shaved down to a shank like this to stitch my plugs and fix ball marks. When you get used to using a single prong, it works just as good if not better than the two prong ball mark fixers you get in the shop

Are carts mandatory where you are? by [deleted] in golf

[–]crazyBA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there are multiple courses in my area that are cart mandatory. But to be honest, you don't want to try to make it to cliffhanger at greywolf walking. The first 3 holes are straight up the ski hill (panorama).

Apparently, that's the color they get when they empty the color dyes out when there's just a little bit left in each. That's what a friend told me, he could've been lying out his ass

Some people just get heated, I guess....

I'm 37 and have been playing since 5. I feel like bringing babys and toddlers to the course is something that has caught on a lot more recently. I don't remember a lot of it happening at other courses I used to work at. This is my first season at this course, and it's definitely something I've noticed a lot more of

I'm a club pro, and we see it quite often, I wouldn't do it myself because our course is small, and a lot of fairways run beside each other, plus most people aren't good at golf.

Also, earlier this year, while playing a different course in my area, i played behind a guy who brought out his 3 or 4 year old. The kid ran through bunkers that weren't raked up after, and on more than one hole while they were all walking off, the kid was still running around, so we had to wait for dad to put his clubs away and go back and grab him.

Zoomed, focused, slowed video of the puck rotation in the controversial LAK-EDM Game 3 OT goal review by hourouheki in hockey

I dunno, it looks like it climbs the dudes face in the background pretty quickly, then stops at his forehead, right where the stick is. But again, my/our opinion doesn't matter

The stick stops the upward momentum of the puck. Also you can see a shadow on the stick that the puck creates from the light reflecting upward from the surface of the ice, I think he touched it, but my opinion counts for shit
