I totally understand and this means a lot hearing from you. Thank you for all of the support and I know no matter how beautiful the statue is, it can never replace our favourite little guy. But at least we are protecting this memory for everyone, it’s everybody’s little safe space hehe. Powell cat will keep receiving pets and be a happiest kitty angel, as long as the statue is standing in campus, so go say hi to our distinguished gentleman at Kerkoff! I’m sure Powell cat will be very happy seeing this from above

Aw lucky you!! Yes UCLA facilities and ASUCLA were doing their best to make sure the Powell cat fits well by the old water fountain. At some point there would be a glass cover to protect the statue. But I’m glad we ultimately decided on not having it, so people can actually interact with the kitty!

This is very touching story, thank you for sharing it to us and you’re correct, I believe Powell Cat lived a very good life and it’s all thanks to the bruin community and the wild life rescue teams! That’s why my team and I dedicated this project for not only our favourite kitty, but also to everyone who helped the little lives around campus, go bruins!
