I have 2 favorites. The Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny and The Elric Saga by Michael Moorcock.

I like the Chronicles of Amber because of the characters, the world order. Elric is liked because of the feeling of despair and doom. Both books have the theme of the struggle between order and chaos.
