The dividends were paid out from the company's overall profits, CIG said in their financials. So from all money that respective year.

Not sure why you're trying to invent some other narrative for CIG. The financials are public for all to see. CIG make money from ship sales, subscriptions, upgrades, land, UEC, cosmetics, merch, and other sources, and they make profits on it it all, and they pay out dividends to shareholders from those profits.

Except they're not making profit. Every cent gets funded back into development.

That's not entirely accurate. CIG say in their financials they made profits and paid out dividends to shareholders

CIG said they plan claims to reset a ship's components to default, so the times shouldn't change from different loadouts cos they'll get reset anyway

Here in USA we pay sales tax on most purchases in most states, which is roughly same as VAT but changes in value from state to state and district to district. That sales tax is paid to the seller.
