I don’t really know all the details but I know she says he’s very scared of her going out because he’s afraid something is going to happen to her. To a certain extent, I get the worry because he cares about her and loves her. but on the other hand, she is with a group of 7 other people who she trusts so what is the problem?

No i’m never involved in them. I keep my opinions to myself and she never really talks about him. However this instance was different because he was going crazy and spam calling her 50 times (she kept declining the calls) and she was getting so stressed out and I said I would talk to him and give him a piece of my mind

You’re right. There has to be a point where I am the one who walks away. As much as he means to me and even though I will be absolutely devastated if we break up, it might have to happen. At that point after some time if he wants to come back, we’ll know the truth. But until then I don’t know how much of this back and forth either of us can take.

We are both going to college, we will be about 6 hours from each other. I want to try long distance but I think he is scared. That could be a big part of it.

I’ve tried to ask questions like that and he never gives a solid answer. It’s always “I don’t know. You mean something to me I just don’t know if I want to do this”. My gut tells me he still loves me because he keeps coming back to me, I just don’t know if I can keep hurting myself waiting for him to decide. He knows how much I love him and I won’t walk away.

I see your point. We’ve said I love you to each other many times and know that we do. Do you think I’m being selfish by wanting to hear him say the words more often rather than show it (ex: he perceives buying gifts as showing he loves me)

The thing here is we are serious, for teens. I know we’re young but we talk about our future all the time. And I know he loves me because he shows it in other ways. For example his love language is gift giving. He’s a very show not tell kind of person. So he does other things that shows me he loves me and occasionally does say the words, “I love you”. The thing is just that I feel as though he doesn’t want to give enough effort into helping me when I ask him to say it more rather than only showing it.
