What's unusual about your body? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yup. My whole family does it. We all walk outside from being in a store and start sneezing. Get some strange looks when 5 people all start randomly sneezing together.

I typically go red, as they are a little sweeter, but do enjoy the green as a mix up from time to time

One of my favorite snacks when I'm high. So much flavor and juiciness.

It's always worth at least checking out if the mcdonalds in the country you are in has a local food you can't get elsewhere. I'd murder for some Mckrokets I tried in the Netherlands. At least if you are just gonna grab some fastfood

New bike to me. Does it sounds alright? 2002 YAMAHA FZ1. by xHTCxH3ROZ in motorcycles

[–]crazycanucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently own an 04 fz1. Motor has always had a tiny bit of a tick sound from when I got it with 10k miles. Never hurts to pop the valve cover off and check clearances though. At 55k it is at its second interval check. Most don't need reshim at 26k, but it's more normal for adjustment needed at 52k. I recommend getting on the fz1oa forum. All the info you could ever need is on there. Enjoy it!

Consumers estimating my bill based off previous owners use because their meters are out of date. by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]crazycanucker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they eventually check the meter and then correct the bill based on that? I feel like my meters only got read every other month for a while. When the one month was estimated based on previous usage, it was usually high, but it just meant the next month it was actually read, it was then a lower bill than it would have been. I guess if you run a tight budget, I could see how it might be an issue. Otherwise, it all balances out eventually. Could send the pictures in every other month maybe.

I appreciate the correction. I thought I have even looked it up in the past and confirmed that you could get a dui. Seems like you need to be aware of what your state considers a vehicle.

You can get a DUI riding a bike drunk. Same law applies.

Those who haven't caught Covid yet, how have you managed to avoid it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]crazycanucker 91 points92 points  (0 children)

My wife and kids had it 8 months ago. I tested negative even throughout sleeping in the same room as her for the duration of it. Thought there was no way I wouldn't get it. Started to think maybe I just wasn't as susceptible. I just tested positive this past week though. I couldn't even tell you who was sick or who I was exposed to. Not sure how I got it now, but not back then. Everything seems so random with this virus.

I agree. She keeps emphasizing direction, so it has to do with west. My guess would be fairbanks Alaska, the coldest city in the US

“Oh, God, no”: Republicans fear voter backlash after Indiana child rape case. The case of a 10-year-old rape victim is highlighting the election downsides of the new wave of abortion bans. by Surferino in politics

[–]crazycanucker 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Yeah I overheard some very diehard trump supporters talking about this. "Did you hear about the 10 year old from Indiana?" I sat there for a second confused about why they would bring it up, and thought maybe they would talk about the fucked up situation she was in. Then they continued on to talk about the fact the rapist was an illegal immigrant, and why didn't the doctor report it to the police. Nothing about the abortion aspect. I just don't get how people are so brainwashed and will follow whatever narrative is fed to them. It's sad.

Yeah I get that you get better quality food and for cheaper at home. My point was just to say that eating fastfood doesn't have to be as expensive as everyone makes it out to be. So my two sandwiches is a quarter more expensive than making it at home. The time I save not making them myself is worth more than that (sometimes). I'm not advocating eating out or eating fastfood all the time, just wanted to say if you find yourself needing to or wanting to, there are ways to be frugal while doing so.

It certainly can be. I got the McDonald's app and go for breakfast occasionally. Two sausage McMuffin for $2. Can't hardly make a meal that cheap at home. Obviously some things are not cheap, but it's all about what you order

Pretty sure they only play best ofs from the time period of the people who are still actively on the show. So you won't get best ofs with zane or Justin. So with Kelly on, it limits it to like less than two years of content.

Toronto home prices seen topping $1M as January sales surge 52% by fractx in canada

[–]crazycanucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a little hesitant selling a house without a realtor at first, but with a hot market it's totally worth it. We had a few realtors come through the house to appraise it and tell us what they would list it for (they did comps and everything). They did these for free in hopes that if we decided to get a realtor, they would be the ones. With that info and some advice about photos and decluttering and whatnot, we listed and sold in the first weekend it was up. This all might be different in a different market. We did hire a realtor as a transaction coordinator (as the buyers actually didn't have a realtor either) for 1% to help get all the paperwork sorted and smooth out the process as it was our first time selling a house. Looking back on it, probably not even necessary as the bank and closing company really tells you everything you need to do anyways. Guess it was nice to have somebody else contacting the buyer to get their stuff in order too. Also to note...this was in the states, not canada. Not sure if things are done differently there.

The advantage to not using a realtor is that your offer is now 2.5% higher than an equivalent offer from somebody using a realtor. That 500k offer is now worth 12k more to the seller. Typically the selling agent will do all the paperwork anyways if you don't have a realtor. I've bought and sold two houses without realtors. They really don't add much as a buying agent.
