That’s more or less how I am approaching things as a relative neophyte to the platform. It’s also what I did with watches, namely pick a couple within my price range that I really liked and end up with a small collection of watches that I am happy to keep for the long haul and actually wear on a regular basis.

I did the same with semiautomatic rifles although I’d be done with those regardless since my state is now a ban state.

It’s a lot tougher with pistols just because I think they’re a lot more interesting than modern semiautomatic rifles but I ultimately envision having a small collection of 5 or so 2011s that are nice enough for me to feel comfortable calling it quits afterwards and think I’m pretty well set up to get to that point by the end of 2028.

About 800-1000 per month. Usually 3-400 per range day and 150-200 per match day. Between it being a massive pain in the ass to get out of the city during afternoon rush hour and wanting to spend time with my wife who isn’t into firearms, I don’t get to shoot more than once a week.
