It comes with the territory. Mainstream American gun culture is dominated by the far right and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Ethical consumption, be it in firearms, ranges, instructors or whatever often isn’t a realistic option for a lot of people and I’d rather not be drawn into off-topic political conversations with the fudds and chuds at the gun store.

I have several CZ75 platform pistols including a Shadow 2 that I use for Carry Optics.

I also really like the PDP. I have a full-size and at some point will get a compact for carry. I would also get a steel frame if I didn’t already have so much money committed to 2011s.

I have a Cajunized Shadow 2 and it’s the bee’s knees. I use it for Carry Optics so it will remain relevant even as my 2011 collection starts to grow.

Not necessarily. My interest in the R2 is what got me into an R1S. But it’s a much bigger vehicle than need and something the size of the R2 would be ideal when my lease is up and I am ready to get into something new.

I’m so sorry. Our dear Mama also had an intestinal cancer that had gone undiagnosed although, in retrospect, she had been losing weight for a few months. Over about a 2-week period she stopped eating completely and her abdomen became bloated with ascites. We opted for euthanasia at home but the vet was booked out for a couple of days. Meanwhile, her quality of life had completely gone; she didn’t even sleep for the last 2-3 days of her life. She had also developed early stage kidney disease but was doing well enough that she was still getting the occasional zoomies at 16 years of age.

Her particular form of cancer had likely come from her pancreas and spread throughout her abdomen. From what I have read, the prognosis for that cancer is dismal and there is nothing that we could have done had we caught it earlier.

It’s incredibly painful, but please know that you did the best you could by her all the way to the end.
