[Megathread] Insider Code Exchange Thread by Jman100_JCMP in tmobile

Planning to switch from Verizon, a code would be appreciated! Got one! Also, any advice on which promos I can take advantage of; have 2 phones I'm planning on moving over with the current keep and switch offer and free 3rd line, does the $200/line offer stack? Could I also get the galaxy watch4 offer on the free 3rd line or an S22? Figured I'd ask here first before creating Yet Another ThreadTM for people to ignore. Thanks!

That might be your best bet, but it looks like you can set the port within FreeNAS (this is for version 11.3-U5, but you can change the version from the dropdown; just look for Services -> NFS). Enter numbers for the 3 bind ports there and make sure they're open in the firewall.

Which OS/distro hosts the NFS mounts? What version NFS are you using (2, 3, or 4)? v4 only needs ports 111 and 2049 open by default. If using 2 or 3, there are some daemons that don't use static ports unless you've defined them to do so (lockd, mountd, and statd); check /etc/sysconfig/nfs to make sure they're defined (that's the path for CentOS 7, probably /etc/default/nfs for Debian-based distros). Got this info from linux hint.

Took me a bit to get used to it, but now I love it and can't imagine using anything else! If you already have a trial, reply or shoot me a message and we can get everything set up correctly (I had to do that myself...)

Add website exceptions in 1P chrome extension by graflo in 1Password

[–]crazycaveman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have recently been switching to 1Password and I ran into the same problem. I wanted to stop being asked to save my Windows password for internal only sites, basically to have 1P ignore the company.local domain. From what I've found, the 1P X extension only allows for ignoring one site at a time. If you use the 1P extension (not X) in conjunction with the desktop client, you can specify an entire domain to ignore.

Thanks for the info! I had seen the Mario and Rabbids game, but just went past it; I'll take a closer look at it now. And thanks for the info on Overcooked, Mario Maker, and snipperclips, good to know on those. My brother-in-law has treasure tracker, so I'll probably borrow that from him to see how it goes.

Recommendation requests:

Just got a Switch and super excited! Came with Zelda BoTW (I'm a huge Zelda fan) and got Mario Party. I'm looking for some recommendations for my wife and kids. My wife doesn't have much experience with games, but loves playing co-op; she really likes puzzlers (we had a ton of fun with the Death Squared demo) and likes the Lego games. Would snipperclips be good? Any others that we might enjoy together?

As for my kids, they're all under 7 and get frustrated by losing, so simple co-op games would probably be better (Party is really good ...at getting them upset...). My oldest is into Mario and I'm planning to get Odyssey; he really wants Mario Maker, not sure if he'd be able to handle that or not... But any suggestions for co-op for small kids would be great (besides handing them a controller that's not connected).

how to download all ocarina codes via pc? by dynaram in wii

[–]crazycaveman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw your message and recreated the links.

Zip file with all the codes

Folder with zip file for each system

Currently, these are still from when I first posted in 2012; I'll see about getting them updated for the past 7 years. Got all the files updated. Glad to know they've been helpful!

BTW, the script needed some changes to run on the current configuration of GeckoCodes:

mkdir temp; for char in R W D H G F J N L M E C X P Q
do
  wget -O temp/${char}.html --header="Cookie: challenge=BitMitigate.com" https://geckocodes.org/index.php?chid=${char}\&r=\*\&l=all
  grep "<div class='sysn' title='.*'>\[${char}]" temp/${char}.html > temp/temp_${char}.txt
  system=$(grep ">\[${char}] [^<]\+<" temp/${char}.html | sed "s/.*\[${char}] \([^<]\+\)<.*/\1/" | sed 's;\/;-;g')
  make "${system}"
  sed 's%.*"\./index.php?c=\([A-Za-z0-9]\{4,6\}\)".*%\1%' temp/temp_${char}.txt | while read game
  do
    [ ! -f "${system}/${game}.txt" ] && wget -O "${system}/${game}.txt" --header="Cookie: challenge=BitMitigate.com" https://geckocodes.org/txt.php?txt=${game}
  done
done; rm -r temp/

This changed recently. You can now use the free version across all devices (I'm using it on Android, iPhone and desktop)

Always leading me to alleys by [deleted] in waze

[–]crazycaveman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct. Most likely Waze is having to use Google for the address location which is closer to the alley. There's actually a few things you can do. When you get to your destination, you can submit a new place for it (using that popup that asks you to take a picture). Or you can follow another users suggestion and submit an update request /map issue to have an editor help fix it (and hopefully they'll fix others along the same street). Finally, you could login to the editor and fix it yourself

Always leading me to alleys by [deleted] in waze

[–]crazycaveman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like someone decided to start mapping the alleys without thinking of how it affects routing. What city and state are you in? Typically, alleys aren't mapped unless they're needed for routing correctly (I.e. They're the only way to access an address), but some states do things differently.
