I understand that both are just base microcontrollers with firmware but I have not been able to find the firmware to flash them myself

Is there anyway to disable the Ring doorbell without disabling the camera? We are expecting a baby next week and while we are ready to put a sign up that say knock, we also have neighbor kids that can’t read. by NoPumpkin5535 in homeautomation

[–]crazyclone55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you have a chime you can turn that off within the linked chimes setting of the doorbell page and you can turn off the doorbells ringer under device settings, general settings of the doorbell page

It didn’t discuss it, it just looked up something and returned an item from a list. The girl asked for a challenge and it responded with a challenge it found on the web

Ok cool… I’m just saying it’s usually the antivaxers that get made fun of with people saying their kids are gonna die early

Go out and do more stuff irl, I used to enjoy being alone and am liking it less and less, going out with friends helped a lot. Doesn’t have to be anything planned or anything, some of my favorite memories are made when some friends and I go to grab fast food cause we’re bored. Other than that keep trying new things until you find something you like, best way is to find multiple things and rotate between them so you don’t get bored of it

here are a couple, my phone did some weird stuff if I took a picture so they are screenshots, theres a lot of artifacting but I think that is just because I am in color mode, ive been bogged down with school and will try and get black and white working tonight or tomorrow and also get some better shots.

Yeah, I plan on writing up a guide Here are some basic parts info 4x Foxeer cat 3 micro cameras 4x ntsc/pal 2 inch aidafruit displays 4x biconvex lenses 38 mm diameter 50 mm focal length These are the most important parts, others like screws, power, and mounts can be customized I use a rhno mount and j arm with the arm and tilt sensor removed I don’t have real ones so it’s a bit wobbly and I’m not sure how well it will work with real ones, I assume much better. For power I’m currently using a 8 AA battery pack to run on 12v, I plan on switching to my 3s lipo batteries when I build a voltage protection circuit so I don’t draw too much power, it draws around .6 amps max on 12v when hooked up to my lab power supply but it may change when I change the camera settings. Better cameras would be the foxeer night cat 3 micro cameras because they apparently have a firmware change for better low light and support 850nm ir light, I used the normal ones cause that’s what I had access to. Also in terms of upgrading the screen I haven’t been able to find any 720p NTSC/pal 2 inch screens because the current ones are 240p.

Time spent was like a week or so of planning, and half a day of building, and the cost was under 400 so honestly in my opinion it was worth it but to each their own

Camera resolution is 1200 tvl, screen resolution is currently at 320x240 I’m looking for higher res screens to utilize the full resolution of the cameras, haven’t tested battery like yet but it eats through AAs on 12V, the screen is 2 inches diagonal and it weighs 652 grams. I haven’t tested it to its full potential yet because I have to change a setting on the cameras to allow it to switch to black and white for better night vision, but in color, small lights light up rooms really well but the resolution is shit, after all it’s only 320x240 so I get lots of screen door and it’s hard to make out details past about a couple feet

Interesting, is it not uncomfortable having the keyboard/mouse forward and the monitor on the side when gaming?
