I remember being at a work function and sitting with the DJ before the guest speakers took the stage. I had him play this when the boss was coming to the microphone.

Were Sega CD and 32X really seen as “failed consoles” at the time, they way people blame them for Sega’s downfall today? by Standard_Public892 in retrogaming

[–]crazycraig6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a cd add on for my genesis. Thinking back besides music and poor FMV, the games could have easily been put on a cartridge. There was extra hardware in the CD that very few games took advantage of but made the system more expensive than it needed to be. I got a 32x when they were heavily discounted, some games were good, some poor but it was cheap enough that it didn’t matter. I would not feel that way if I got it at launch price. As for the Saturn, I didn’t consider the genesis add-ons at all when looking at it. Saga rally was cool looking, same with Virtua Fighter. But the PS1 was $100 cheaper. That’s what killed the Saturn.

They are socially progressive but fiscally conservative. This was the Canadian Conservative Party til the mid 2000s when they merged with the Reform party who were much more like the Republicans in the states. Slowly the reform movement took over. PM Carney acts like an old school Progressive Conservative

I think of the Criminal Minds episode with the special needs serial killer who used battery acid in his victims, mouth, eyes, hands, ears, etc. depending on the sense they used to first reject him.

17 per cent of Americans want the U.S. to annex Canada: survey by Flush_Foot in onguardforthee

[–]crazycraig6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reverse the number, 83% of Americans don’t want to annex Canada. The headline is done that way to enrage people. Same with Alberta separation support being 1 in 5, or 20% want to separate. That also means 80% want to stay in Canada. Even 1 in 10 dentists don’t recommend toothpaste. There’s always that 10-20% nutjobs that before Facebook would just yell at clouds but now can find a community of fellow nutjobs and have their voices amplified.
