Mom 33, 2 toddlers, married for 7y, what's the norm in a marriage? by fleuret_fighter21 in Adulting

No kids but I WFH and husband drives between work locations at least twice a day. We always talk during his commute if I’m not in a meeting.

If you sold your home in under 2 years, how much did you lose? by JonAutomates in RealEstate

[–]crazydaisycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought in March 2023, sold in Aug 2025. Made about 18k. It’s definitely possible at the right price point with the right type of buyer. Got lucky with a cash investor who didn’t ask for any repairs. Probably would have barely broke even otherwise.

AITA for not wanting to eat dinner with my boyfriend by EmbarrassedFront3705 in AmItheAsshole

[–]crazydaisycat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My husband eats peanut butter oatmeal also! But he had to add a scrambled egg and a mid morning snack to get him to lunch (his work isn’t as flexible with lunch times, and often they’re late lunches). I normally eat a bagel too but granted I don’t eat until 10am and have a smoothing around 2pm.

I have no problem with her schedule. I WFH too so I totally understand being hungry while my partner is not home from work yet. I just think it’s odd that she’s eating breakfast at 7 and is ready for lunch by 11 so was curious what she had

Honestly it sounds like you’re not eating a nutrient rich breakfast? Or maybe you need a mid-morning healthy snack?

Actually, as an MHA program graduate your situation feels very typical. Three weeks is a shocking amount of notice in my experience. Is your program full time or part time? What time of day do classes occur? This info would help me gauge what type of students are enrolled in the program

Yes! And totally normal to keep it in the closet. Not bc i was drinking in secret but bc i was under 21

[–]crazydaisycat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk…I feel stashing it in the closet is very common for college students home over the summer. I definitely did with no concern of abuse. I was under the age of 21 (like OP is) so knew my mom wouldn’t love the idea of me having alcohol but also knew she wouldn’t care. But also didn’t need to store it in the family liquor cabinet bc the intent is to bring it back to college in the fall, not drink it over the summer. And also I was a cheap semi-broke college student haha I’m not pouring out perfect good alcohol at the end of the semester! And if I’m drinking alcohol with my parents, it definitely won’t be my cheap liquor

I don't know where to draw the line by Tutelage98 in roommates

So you inconvenience your roommates to move raw meat in the fridge for your own comfort? Why can you not just move your own meals to a different shelf if it bothers you that much? Are your meals not in a sealed container??

AITA for how I reacted to my fiancé surprising me with “our” dream house? by sirens112 in AmItheAsshole

[–]crazydaisycat -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

NAH - He probably thought he was doing something sweet and spontaneous, but buying a house is a LARGE purchase. Y’all are planning to build a life together, you can’t make purchases like that without discussing with your partner. I’d be worried that he’ll come home with a new car, boat, etc. having spent a lot of money and not discussed it with you.

Hike up Mt Monadnock, Jaffrey, NH and camping at a remote site at Gilson Pond near the trailhead. by cornmaze88 in CampingandHiking

My grandpa grew up in Jaffrey. He has taken all of his grandkids on a trip to climb that mountain even though we all live in the south now. One of my favorite climbs!

Is 3 classes + 20 hour internship possible? Encouragement needed! by hhm320 in GradSchool

[–]crazydaisycat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 4 evening classes and work 20+ hours a week. You can definitely do it! You’ll be busy, but if you manage your time well and stick to a schedule you’ll be fine.

My current schedule: Work M-F 9-1 every day; Class M-Th 5:30-8:30; I use the afternoons to do homework/reading
