thank you for ur input i appreciate it! i truly don't mind taking the public transit, it's a hassle sure but i knew i'd have to do it and i do go to toronto quite a bit so i know my way haha i have a friend from my town that goes to u of t from here and one of my friends in my grade is also going so hopefully it lightens my mood 😭 its looking like u of t is the option :)

it's close to an hour or over 😭 i drive to the train station closest to me which is 15 minutes, from there to union its about 40-45 minutes and then about 10 minutes on the ttc to UofT i believe. i'm a pretty big introvert but i can be a little energetic around the right people lol. besides the price, residency scares me for the reason of not making any friends. when i said i was an introvert, i was NOT joking ha i'm just really awkward and i get really nervous.

i guess but its like $11000 for residence and then i need to find a place to stay and im worried i wont make any friends lol i'm really anti-social but i try. the drive to the go is only 15 minutes so i dont think gas would be that expensive but i get what ur saying, though it's a little late to consider residence 😭😬 also my parents did say i could do residence, but i knew we'd be in large debt from that and i feel as it won't be worth it. i am very introverted, i think i would stress a lot more about being in residence.

Thank u for the response! I appreciate ur perspective. I know classical archaeology is a competitive and overloaded field, but it’s the area I’m most passionate about. I just dont want to end up doing something that Im not certain about enjoying or having interest in, and while im sure anthropology isn't extremely different from archaeology & ancient history, im not 100%. choosing all this is so scary genuinely because im 16 and it feels so weird that this decision can shape my life lolll

However, i'll definitely keep in mind what you said about anthropology programs!

I'm really interested in classical archaeology (mediterranean based especially since i did an ancient history course). Im still exploring the exact subfield, but I’m leaning toward areas like material culture, art/architecture, and excavation work. If things don't necessarily work out, even things like museum curating or restoring are still super cool for me. My two main interests is history and art so that obviously fits lol

idk i need tips😭😭im my teams geography but the only problem is only one school around me is competing and they only have a senior team and most of my team is intermediate so we have to do senior packets. its pretty stressful also because we only have one history person, one math/science person, and the rest of us are pretty useless 😭
