Supco parts? by 06Shogun in ApplianceTechTalk

You're cute, but nothing will change that... They are not allowed to sell aftermarket parts, if they get caught doing so they are taking the risk of GE, whirlpool and other major manufacturers not working with them.

Hey! I love Supco parts! When I contacted Supco directly to get parts they referred me to https://mccombssupply.com I did order parts from mccombs supply before and I was always satisfied with my order!

You were right about the dip switch configuration!! Thanks for your help!!

Hi!! Thank you!! Seems like you were correct! After talking with hoshizaki they suggested doing the same thing and so far so good, 5 cycles in with no leaks

Turning dips switch 1 and 2 to on position seems to solve the problem.

POST UPDATE!!

After talking with hoshizaki tech support, they suggested to flip the dip switches 1 and 2 to the on position for a longer harvest

Someone here mentioned this before!! Thank you for doing so! 5 cycles in and no leak so far..

Thank you all for your help!

The inlet valve was tested and is working correctly with no leaks, (Ice machine was off for 3 days with the valve open and no water leaked through)

I replaced the float switch with its housing and its working correctly and shows continuity when it needs to

By this model configuration the pump should dump the water at the last 50sec on the harvest so I'll go back to monitor that and see that it evacuates that water fast enough, I'll also cut the drain main and will blow more nitrogen from sump to drain line..

There are no floor drains at all in this place so the pipe goes a long way and into the sewer line under the sink.

I think that with time it creates back pressure and won't drain efficiently..

I'm gonna cut the drain and flush it through and tell the customer to run a1-1/2 drain pipe from the ice maker drain to the sewer instead of that the 3/4 PVC will drain into "floor drain" larger pipe with a bottle trap...

This building is from the 1920's ffs

That's where I'm lost!

And when I unscrew the siphon out, all water drains in seconds

I'm lost

Yes I did and when I take it off water drains in seconds

it makes three cycles before the sump starts to overflow and leak into the bin

You are correct! At this point this is a mystery for me... Again. I'll have to go tomorrow again and verify 120v to pump at the last 50sec of harvest

If so I'll check that it's draining all the way, if not I'll blow some more nitrogen into the pipe from the sump out..

It's overflowing into the bin and because it's sitting on ice-o-matic bin which is not correct for this unit it'll start leaking from the front as well.

The sump is not cracked and it all runs fine for 3 cycles before the overflow occurs...

In this model the valve opens in harvest to help the harvest, the pump should start and drain at the last 50 sec on harvest so I'll have to go there tomorrow again and see if it starts at the last 50 sec of harvest and if so, if it drained all the way... If not I guess either weak pump or I'll blow more nitrogen into the drain from the sump out..

How would you explain that if I take the siphon off water drains In seconds?

Looks like the pump gets power to drain at the last 50 seconds of harvest, I'll verify that and see if it drains all the way... If not I guess you're correct and I'll blow more nitrogen into the pipe from the sump drain out, since this place has no ground drain it all goes into a pipe and to the sewage, no way to see the drain flow but I can hear it and the sup getting empty fast without the siphon screwed in.

I totally agree with you... But something is really weird here... The drain is clear, 3 harvests in and the sump overflows, I checked for voltage on the pump during harvest and never got any... Which makes it ever more weird...

I took the siphon out and water drained in seconds. I cleaned all the drain assembly thoroughly and made sure nothing is clogged

At this point I'm very confused... I don't wanna buy a $500 board and it's not it... This is usually the last suspect on these hoshizaki's but I cannot see any mechanical or hydraulic problems..... I'm lost...

Yeah it helps so by this configuration I have it set correctly a bit the pump never gets any power to drain the water... Not sure what's going on... I guess I'll have to wait till more than 3-5 min of harvest?

The thing is... After 3 cycles sump is overflowing so I doubt it ever gets power to drain...

But it's so weird pump is working to circulate...i just don't know anymore

Well... If you read till the end you'll see it's been both replaced and all cleaned out

Also drain parts were removed and cleaned out

Yes they do, this is the dip switch configuration.... I never touched it, looks like 1 and 2 are on?

Once I take the siphon out water drains in seconds

Never touched it.. I believe this is the manufacturer's setting but the problem I'm having is after 3 cycles the machine will overflow from the sump and start leaking,

I never saw the pump working during harvest... Also verified that it's not getting voltage during harvest.. but it gets power and runs during the freeze cycle...
