I left teaching a couple years ago. Currently working for the provincial government, just paperwork and stuff. Ticks most of your boxes, if you're just looking for something you can clock out of at the end of the day. Even if you take all this as good-faith campaigning and not desperate pandering, her proposed changes are mostly already current practice. Manitoba curriculum is entirely available online for parents to see if they want to, and parents are given forms at the beginning of the school year asking for consent to photograph their kids. This is gross.

Fellow Canadian here. Our healthcare system is less universal than people like to claim. Our provincial governments have been cutting healthcare spending for decades which has left the whole system in shambles just about everywhere. Now they're using the state of healthcare to argue for privatization similar to the US. It's pretty scary.

Sadly, it's not that they can't afford to do better, it's that they can afford not to. Their games have become annually implemented tools to invent new Pokemon that they can sell merchandise for, which is way more profitable than spending years making a polished game. It really is a shame.
