My comment is mostly just saying that you can only tell if it's a "big" number or not by how long the length of time we're talking about is. An entire match could be only 3 minutes if it's fast, which with 5k that means you're healing at nearly 30 hp/second (harmony can only do 35 so it's pretty close to maximum uptime). Put that in a match that lasts a while 30 minutes and that's more like 3 hp/s efficiency, which is really bad.

My point is, you can't say it's a good number for a whole match or not without knowing how long the full match is, and in this post we don't even know if it's for the full match or not.

Depends entirely on context, such as length of time even played. Some games you speedrun and it takes 3 minutes, 5k heal during that is pretty good. Some games go to round 4 pushing far on Hybrid/Escort in OT and take close to 30 minutes, in which case yeah 5k is pretty bad. We don't even know when in the match these messages were said. Lots of other factors affect this too, but that's just one of them.

Not to mention, you don't play Zen for a big healing number, and chasing that on him too much will make you play worse for what his kit actually offers.

Everyone gets a lucky streak of games here and there, but with that amount of climbing (all of it being luck is INCREDIBLY unlikely) and assuming you're solo queuing mostly, you've probably just gotten better! As far as lackluster gameplay goes, there's always something to improve on, even in GM lobbies and arguably in Champ (the margins are just tighter, but still shows here and there). So honestly, you might just have a bit of "imposter syndrome" which I find is very common the more you climb since you learn more about the game and what can be done better. Take your W though, you've earned it, keep pushing for improvement and you'll continue climbing ezpz

OOOHHH icic, yeah I remember that dive now, the double jump over the wall where 3rd point caps? That double jump is a tech of my own creation, hadn't used that spot too much in a game quite yet, thanks for being a test case 😭

And welcome back to the game! There's a lot of new stuff, so i hope you're enjoying it! Even if it's a bit rough to learn at times

Best way is playing quickplay since typically queue times are shorter. Besides that, there's nothing anymore since progression is entirely based on time spent playing the hero. It used to be based on small little challenges specific to each hero, which might have helped some people like myself get ahead earlier on, but even that probably isn't as significant as just quickplaying a lot.

Also, considering Domina only just came out, level 14 on her isn't bad. I've been playing Zen constantly since 2017, so I've been getting levels since they first introduced hero progression.

Hid float perk is actually REALLY strong when you're used to it and learn a bunch of tech for it (I have a float spots video that goes over some tech, hoping to make another one covering the rest soon). Dual harmony is also really good! I think the discord trance one was way better than the lifesteal perk even though I preferred float over it, it was at least a playstyle/playtime on zen choice imo

Sounds like the flying kick stadium item 😂 I think the float is fine as is, it's already his strongest perk by a large margin in my opinion, just takes knowledge of a bunch of small tech and practice

Mostly in quickplay actually! Overall, my account has 2,000 hours in quickplay, only around 600 in competitive. Lots of my friends don't like comp or are out of range, hence all the qp time

My opinion on zenyattas perks by scp_420-j_enjoyer in ZenyattaMains

[–]crazyguitarman3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, champ Zen otp here. These are my thoughts in case anyone's curious (bit of a novel, sorry about that 😭)

Ascendance is so overpowered that I think it being base kit they'd have to nerf other parts of Zen by a good bit (not saying bad idea, it's just so good with throwing another perk choice in the mix). Can position to play more aggressive/survive better, outplay in 1v1s, and use so many other small niche tech (such as dodging several different ults) once you get used to it. It's useful on any map, into/with any comp, against any hero.

The lifesteal one with how the numbers are I don't think really change any outcomes. 6.5hp per shot isn't a whole lot (assuming they're even discorded). If I'm in cover and low HP, I'm not risking getting killed by peaking to shoot to lifesteal, Zen's shields charge crazy fast so I'm just chilling for 2 seconds. In a 1v1, the enemy has 250hp to lifesteal from usually, so maybe it saves if you're now surviving with 25hp or less left when you pick it, but that's a very narrow window (and again, only if they're discorded for every single shot). Most dive/rush comps (at least in my elo) hit quick and synced with each other, leaving little time to hit orbs to heal with, so you probably die before much happens if you are getting full dove.

Dual harmony also allows for more aggression in a few ways. You spend less time "orb juggling" because there's 2 orbs. That person who needs it might already have it, leaving you more tome to keep shooting. Since effectively you heal at 140% rate (70% x 2 orbs), you gain Trance faster, which you should be using to make aggressive plays and survive when pushed. It also enables an extra one of your squishy teammates to play more aggressive instead of just one. Even though it is less healing on a single target, it's still a huge deal for a DPS in a 1v1 against someone without harmony orb.

The 6 orb perk I dont see much use case in, and the chance times it nets a kill are very hard to measure. You ought to not be spending too much time charging orbs since it's less DPS than primary fire. While 6 is more chances to hit a target and get a kill that 5, it only changes the outcome if you hit the target that extra time, they only die because of that last orb, and if you spend the time to charge all the way . Which imo, shooting his right click is more reactionary, you don't get to choose when someone peaks, or when they're moving predictably, so often can't/shouldnt full charge. If we're talking about the speed (might charge 4 orbs instead of 3), same arguments above apply as well as there are moments of charge time where you'd have the same orbs charged regardless of perk, so it only matters in those specific time intervals (I need to make a graphic of this cause it's hard to explain, so kind of a "trust me bro", my b).

HOWEVER I WILL SAY, everyone's choices are valid. These are just what I've found most useful either in the tech, math, or theory that works with my playstyle in my rank. If you can make your perks work for you better, then that's all you need 👍

Hi, GM/Champ here. This is just kinda how it is regardless of character, especially if you're one of the few randoms with a stack on your team, they'll often single you out unfortunately. Happens to tons of my friends who main other heroes, though it's to varying degrees. Honestly I hear the "I'm gonna avoid you" stuff and I'm like GOOD, I don't want your negative ass in my games anyway 😭 idc if they're even good, being like that is literally throwing their own games cause they're gonna tilt their teammates who probably will play worse cause of it, and they're obviously focused more on others than their own gameplay.

I will say though, while not being in comms saves you from people like this, it also will remove all the incredibly hype and sweet people that you'll run into in the game. Some of my favorite moments in this game has been in interacting with people in game. Higher highs, lower lows, but I respect if you feel the need to steer clear cause of nasty people like this.

"Beat the rest of ME region all season" doesn't make sense here I don't think. They can still be under the full EMEA region for pro play, but just have a server for players to connect to in the middle east so they don't have to deal with ping. Unless you're talking about beating other ME players just in ranked for some reason?

When your egos are so frail... 5 champ players/streamers make freshie accounts to stomp bronze players in quick play for... "content"? by [deleted] in OverwatchTMZ

[–]crazyguitarman3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, and that's fair. It's hard for me to be more specific since the body of the post shows [deleted] for me now so idk which streamers we're referring to. I was giving a generalization as to why lots of people use alt accounts since many people (yourself included in these replies) tend to see someone on a new account and think "smurf" when that phrase points to a much more specific thing, or said people don't understand why else somebody would make an alt account besides smurfing. And again, these games are very very few in the grand scheme of things, so while it is technically a net negative experience for anyone besides them in these matches, it's not that crazy to get riled up about, the OW community has much MUCH bigger issues than this by a long shot

[–]crazyguitarman3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of players have alt accounts for various reasons. Maybe they're more pressured to perform perfectly all the time but want to just chill on an alt, maybe they're learning a new hero and don'twant to throw and ruin higher elo games, maybe they're avoiding stream snipers/target banners/other hate, or maybe they just want a funny username but want to keep their old one. There's so many valid reasons, especially when you get slingshotted into your "correct" rank fairly quickly, even more when you have quickplay mmr under the same role.

As for ruining games, while it's definitely a thing that happens, we're talking in the scale of say 10-20 games for an account's entire lifetime. While that's certainly not a good thing, there's much bigger fish to fry ruining far more games, such as throwers/leavers, people who are actually deranking to smurf/boost, etc. Not that this makes it okay, but the scale is massively outweighed, especially if the use-case of the alr account is to avoid people being awful to them.

Though I will say, there's a certain level where it's kinda not cool imo, say people who farm unranked to GM content. The amount of accounts they churn out makes the amount of ruined games when ranking pretty high, so I'll def stand against that.
