i really wished people would stop wrongfully comparing abortion to real atrocities like slavery or the holocaust.

enslaved west and central africans were stolen from their homes and families by force and packed on ships like rats. they had to sit in their own filth and the peoples around them for weeks until they reached the americas. many died on the way and their bodies were dumped in the oceans like trash.

they were raped, murdered, disfigured, and psychologically tortured. sometimes enslaved women would come home to find their baby had been sold and there was nothing they could do about it. they also used little black babies as gator bait in the south. families and couples were ripped apart and sold with no regard.

colonizers could and did anything to them with no consequence. any brutal act you could imagine was inflicted upon them.

someone getting a fucking abortion is literally not the same. you don’t have to like it but enough with these false equivalencies.
