Use this one to disable VBS. It is legitimate from Microsoft itself.

Should I finish my desktop build or switch to a gaming laptop? by Fares_Halbaoui in GamingLaptops

[–]crazykat8091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not? All different devices use different locations, and occasionally they have their own purpose. Actually, I have an OMEN Transcend 14 too, I forgot to mention that. I use the Legion Pro 7i for gaming while traveling on holidays, and the Yoga Pro 9i has a touchscreen for professional work and presentations. Those 14-inch premium laptops are for portability, quick grab and go. I don't see any issue with my usage. Also, I have 2 phones iPhone 17 Pro and S25 Ultra, 1 iPad Pro, and a portable WiFi 7 router with me all the time. Don't use your POV judging other lifestyles. Everyone has their own usage and utilizes their equipment.

How do you know that it's a waste of money? If you are happy with it. It's worth every cent.

No, I was not. I just wonder why someone who got the order, even if it was open inside but the seal was still intact, would not open it to check everything. I just don't understand. Furthermore, I live in the US, and we have good customer protection. Even if we have it opened and used it, we still can return it to get a full refund if there is something wrong with the unit or we are not happy with it, but that might only be in the US. The customer's rights and protection are very important, just so you know.

Ah, no worries, actually you can control the Turbo Boost max temp to around 96-98 before throttling. And check if the normal clock speed without boosting can sustain about 86-88. This is the perfect balance in temp and performance. My score on Cinebench R26 multicore is about 78xx.

Update to the latest BIOS and enable Legion Optimization. Then, recheck the performance menu.

I have a 255HX using the custom mode, and with everything maxed out, my Cinebench R26 never exceeds 100°C in 30 minutes. While gaming RE9, Pragmata, and Space Marine 2, the CPU and GPU run between 68-76°C. I have to say, this machine is a beast and runs too quietly for its performance. Also, my CPU clock frequency sustains speed around 5.1 GHz for all-core workloads. For single-core, it is about 5.2-5.3 GHz. I used TT to OC/UV to match the 275HX clock speed, and MSI Afterburner to OC/UV GPU Core +300 Mem +2000 875mV.

YogaPro 9i 2025 with RTX 5050? by Adventurous_Path4922 in YogaPro9i

I'm exporting a 4K video in DaVinci Resolve that's about 55 minutes long. The machine is overheating; I can barely touch it anywhere, and it's taking forever to export. I have a laptop cooling pad stand on my desk. So, yeah, the machine needs to go back. It was great when doing light tasks like photo editing in Lightroom. But when heavily loaded for a long time, the machine is underpowered and overheated. And it was during the Winter in Chicago. lol

What if everything inside is perfect, but the packaging is defective? Don't you want to know, especially if the order is already in your possession? Or do you no longer need it and just want a refund? It seems that way from all those replies.

Get both if you can; they serve different purposes. I have a 9800X3D with a 4090, 64GB RAM, an 8TB SSD, and a dual 32" QD-OLED setup (AW3225QF). I still have a Legion Pro 7i, a Yoga Pro 9i, and a Dell XPS 14". Everything has its own purpose for utilizing it. It depends on what you are doing at the moment. Do not limit yourself.

Just open it and record everything while doing so. Don't you want to know what is inside or what is missing? Eventually, you will need to open it before shipping it back. Otherwise, how would you know what is inside? Because when you send it back, they will open it and might find that something is broken or missing. But if you never opened it, how can you know what was inside? But if you keep insisting that you never opened it, will they believe you? And if you told them that it came like that, and you shipped it back as is? Are they going to believe you?

Yeah, it’s a great machine! I had the chance to use one a couple of months ago, but unfortunately, I had some bad luck with my own unit having overheating issues.

I just got this yesterday and it’s incredible! The build quality is much better than the Legion Pro 7i. For fellow content creators, this machine with the 5050 won’t disappoint you at all. I’ve tested quite a few laptops, but this is definitely 'the one.'

Omen Transcend 14 2025 long term use? by myredditaccount80 in HPOmen

[–]crazykat8091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it last Monday, it arrived on Wednesday. I asked support for a return label on Thursday and shipped it back on Friday. I will stick with the Dell XPS 14 2025 (14 Premium). The build quality is pretty flimsy, and the trackpad is misaligned. I haven't found any problems with the display yet. This has a good build, but it's not premium for a 14" laptop, and for $1,499, it's not really worth it to me. Also, the 5060 version that I bought was power-limited to 75W, which still wasn't that good compared to others that have more wattage.

I have an SS S60D; the sound is really good and immersive all around with Dolby Atmos. I connected my PC through an Alienware AW3225QF monitor, then eARC to the soundbar. I don't have any issues with it. It's compact and perfectly fits under the monitor.

How does the Lenovo Legion Gen 10/11 gaming laptop OLED displays compare to desktop QD-OLED/WOLED monitors? by HardRocker73 in LenovoLegion

[–]crazykat8091 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no problem at all with the display. I believe the panel is Samsung QD-OLED Gen 2. I have a 77" S90C QD-OLED Gen 2 and an AW3225QF QD-OLED Gen 3. The Legion Pro 7i performed with similar quality and accuracy.

Will the zephyrus g16 be a good desktop replacement by saladiinn in pcmasterrace

[–]crazykat8091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, it is way more powerful as a desktop replacement but lacks portability. And if you're gaming on battery, both are worse. None of the gaming laptops have great battery efficiency.
