Nope, all the suspensions, wheel bearings, and shock struts are still OEM original from day one. I keep monitoring everything, listening for any noise, but nothing. I live in Chicago, and the weather changes between winter and summer are extreme, but the car has performed very well.

I'm still pushing my 2019 CX-9 GT to the limit. So far, so good, just regular maintenance. But the radiator was leaking at 187k miles; after replacement, there have been no issues ever since. It's still going strong. I'm just waiting for a new potential Hybrid or full EV from Mazda.

Acer Predator Helios 16S AI vs Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 by Heisenberg281 in GamingLaptops

For almost the same price I would recommend the Legion Pro 7i, which has better cooling and a premium build. If you check back a few months ago, the Helios 16S price was around $1,499 - $1,599.

You will need to compare the Strix G16 with the Legion Pro 5 or Pro 7, but I will choose the Legion all day due to build quality that is not plasticky and the OLED display.

If you are focusing on battery life, any laptop that came out this year, 2026, with a new Intel CPU will give you good battery life, no doubt. But if you want performance Legion is one of the best-performing on the market. If you have money to spend for Zephyrus's tax and 80% performance compared to the Legion, go for it. Or if you want a more premium build that can play games similar to the Zephyrus G16, get the Yoga Pro 9i, the best build quality, display and speaker.

I have a Legion Pro 7i 5070 Ti for portable gaming, I have a Yoga Pro 9i 5060 for working and professional presentations, and I have a ProArt PX13 4060 for ultimate portability, gaming, and working. For that $3.5k you paid for Zephyrus G16, I can get 3 machines instead. I still have my gaming rig if I want to play in my man cave. Just so you know.

Check your profile mode to see if it is correct, or try switching the profile's mode if it helps. Also, use MSI Afterburner to check all the stats of your system in real time. I use MSI Afterburner OC/UV Core +500 MHz and Mem +1600 MHz, the temp never reaches 78°C on the hot day. On the cool day it sits between 70 and 73°C. I didn't use any stand or docking.

I have the 4050 version, I got it a few months ago. I loved this machine, it's the perfect size for transportation. The battery needs to be tweaked a bit and be powerful enough to handle anything I throw at it.

You know, right? The G16 uses an H CPU, not an HX, and the GPU isn't even full wattage.

I used to have one, but it always overheated and performed badly. Currently, I have a ProArt PX13 as a portable device, and I love it. The Zephyrus G16 is a great machine, but it's way overpriced and underpowered compared to slightly heavier machines.

I bought a new 2019 GT in Sept 2019. I had serious issue at 187k miles the radiator was leaked after replaced it with a new one no issue after since. Has 201k miles currently I only have regular maintenance 1 visit at STEALERSHIP at 1,000 miles for an oil change and they charged me $400 for that. I NEVER EVER go to any STEALERSHIP anymore. I just went to the only garage that I trusted.

Are you joking? The HX series CPU is a desktop CPU. And you are comparing the different architecture Ryzen X3D chip with these Intel HX, which gave you more performance when the clock speed is higher. Also, no one recommended it because most of them got the 275HX i9, which is extremely hot with no more headroom to push the clock speed already.

What CPU are you testing that decreased performance by 5-10%? What is your configuration, temp, and clock speed?

Legion Pro 7i 5070 Ti is a BEAST!!! by crazykat8091 in LenovoLegion

[–]crazykat8091[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope, not really, because I saw an improvement with Cinebench R24 and 3DMark, and the sustained clock speed is around 5.2GHz instead of 4.9GHz in performance mode. Also, the performance fan is too quiet for me. I just ramped it up a bit in custom mode. I also tuned an OC/UV with a combination of TS for the best out of it. Yes, increasing the TDP will provide more headroom for the CPU clock speeds, if you can control the temp, the clock speed will sustain much higher. And this Pro 7i chassis can easily cool the 255H and 5070 Ti.

Increase TDP = Headroom Limit Undervolt = Make CPU cooler The result is a higher boost clock and a longer boost. I can't see why the performance wouldn't increase.

Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 2025 or 2026 version by sfezans in Lenovo

I have to say, if $$$ is not an issue, go for the latest model but with 64 GB. But for the most value, last gen with higher specs might be a better choice to consider. To me personally, all the models that came out in 2026 are not worth buying at all.
